Root sounds like an interesting game. I don’t have any asymmetric games for more than two players, since I haven’t seen many of these and never got into Vast.

THIS is what I would be buying if I were at the con, first on my list to purchase. SOOO regret not backing the Kickstarter. I didn’t originally “get” the rules but since I have seen a few videos that cleared things up for me. I will be buying this at some point (soon!).

Yes, I can see animals of the forest being militarised in an area-control war game.

After all, everyone knows that much of the wildlife in the UK is military-trained and so extremely dangerous. Owls have stealth technology and Badgers are hard-core elite commandos – don’t mess with those bad boys! Squirrels are mainly recon scouts and what rabbits do is mainly classified – probably something to do with a network of early warning radar stations.

As so many others have said, the artwork is a delight. This looks like a game that children would be able to engage with well, both in terms of theming and from what I have seen of game play (I have seen reports that the player aids are incredibly well designed and help with this).
