Those are definitely looking great so far. 😀 I would be a little careful of making these guys TOO “Enemy at the Gates,” though, as Stalingrad is before the 8th Guards was formed and also waaaay before the introduction of most of your armor (T-34/85s and ISU-152). Plenty of urban combat later on (Poznan, Berlin, etc) so the “rubble base” definitely works.

Awesome start! Can’t wait to see more!

If you are doing “Enemy at the Gates” all your conscript squads should have twice as many guys; half of whom are unarmed but holding a clip of ammo and just waiting for an armed fellow to die so they can pickup the rifle.

Those four test figures look really good . Might have to try your paint scheme on my next box . Just a note , the kneeling guy with the DP-28 has a ammo drum glued to his belt not the ammo pouch . You need to use part Q on the Russian weapons sprue . Also part P is the ammo box for the DP -28 , usually carried by the gun’s number two along with spare barrels .

a mix of uniform colours would make the army more realistic as the replacement’s will be darker than the vets.
