Dice always kill me — doesn’t matter who is rolling.

So excited about this! Mom pre-ordered the ‘Team Yankee’ rulebook as part of my Christmas gift.

Expect to see MERDC camouflaged M1IPs hit the field by early January. XD

US sounds quite hard to play…

US forces need to be more tactical whereas the Ruskies can do the classic swarm tactic, at least so it appears based on this clip.

Good. Sounds like it recreates the nigh-invincible reputation of the Soviets during the 1980s

Glad to see they are balancing out in the end.

Have to agree, I think the Americans will be more tactically challenging, which to me is so much more interesting then a horde gameplay style.

Wait, the game will turn slightly in the US favour when you bring the other elements of the combat team.

I always disliked how in warhammer terrain would either annoy both players because no unit could actually logically use it or just had random effect in the battle so that both players would just move around the terrain as much as possible. Since playing FoW that has massively changed. Good to see that they are still improving on the rules for terrain.

seems a nice balanced game, russians using the brute force/large numbers tactic versus the american technology! love it!

the dice GODS are a very fickle bunch that can be so cruel.

Interesting with -bogging- being a primary concern. Playing FoW i always find terrain masking my vets being the biggest boon with terrain.

Will be interesting to hear from other players and what they say about the amount of terrain. As a USA player I would be open to more terrain than less 😉

That is true, @neaceul . The M1s have higher movement rates and make easier bogging checks. So the denser the terrain (assuming its SHORT terrain), the bigger advantage to the Americans. TALL terrain, however, could screen a Soviet approach from the better and longer-ranged US firepower, and allow the Soviets to being superior numbers in a short killing distance where the advantage passes to them.

I like the fact that the two sides play different with different tactics. Looking forward to when the brits get involved. Challengers and Cheiftans for the win!!
