I think I spy a sprue from the Cruel Seas game (S-Boat) from Warlord there in the background as well. Charlie going for some Naval support artillery as well?
That 88 looks rather intimidating.
@phaidknott – I’ll have to defer to the studio team and Warlord on that Cruel Seas question.
@bungo – indeed the 88 is always intimidating – plays as area denial on the table top.
I’ll l have to remember that flanking tip – it might help me when facing tigers in the table top.
Nothing quite like seeing hundreds of tonnes of Armour all lined up in formation to stir the blood.
@skodamarine – The trick is luring that tank further onto your side of the board before youre reserves arrive.
@waywarddarkwolf – I agree 100%!
Is that a battleship? In the desert?
love both the tank forces
@lawnor – I’ll have to defer to the studio team and Warlord on that Cruel Seas question.
@Wilco92 – They look even more amazing up close in person.
I’d put my money on the Germans
Nice see the tanks from stream up close. solid weathring but i still miss some blue/brown shemes on charlies sikh units.
We’ll see how the live stream comes out, @warhammergrimace!
@rot6 – amazing paint jobs on both sets of armour.
I expect that the speed will hamper the outflanking plans
TANKS TANKS TANKS; Ilove me TANKS
@collins – the speed can help your force either spring a trap, or get your forces OUT of a trap. Conversely, speed (used carelessly) can ensure that you true into an preplanned enemy killing zine that much faster, that much deeper.
Agree, @haupmanncanuck – never enough tanks! 😀
@oriskany were you thinking or working on another event like the previous dday event we all participated in? I thought that was a wonderful way of gathering the community together accross the globe. Thank you
@hauptmanncanuck – I have wondered about that literally for years. If you think there would be a lot of support for it among the community, I would totally be down for that. The tech (and my skills with the tech) have also improves somewhat since the WWDDC in 2015 – so we might be able to do integrate a little faster and with enough panning with the OTT/BoW team … maybe even cook in some live stream events?
That would be wonderful. Lets keep an open conversation.
Totally agree. 😀
Let’s go DAK
good eyes phaidknott, as good as the forces look what’s up with the Cruel Sea sprue?
@patrickkyle82 – sounds like a #TEAMJOHN fan, 😀
@tibour – I’ll have to defer to the studio team and Warlord on that question.
*cues John coming in throwing resin and metal tanks at everyone*
Thx for the insight.
@dukeexeter – I’ve gotten pretty good at dodging flying minis over the years.
No worries. @andre77
more great tips
german tanks where the best of the best in WWII
No worries, @normandyfan
@toricova – tank for tank that was certainly true … but the Allies just had so many more, plus more support assets, plus German tanks were generally more difficult to maintain in the field.
Tanks for that Charlie …..*sorry* … *I’ll see myself out
Tanks a lot for these posts, very entertaining.
@beardragon14 and @bobmoor – 😀 😀 😀 😀
Bringing an 88 to a tank fight? That could be a brilliant move… I have no idea though, still haven’t caught up on the game.
comment to win
@georgesealy – keep that 88 in an overwatch position for your tanks assault.
@radegast6 – good luck!
As odd ball would say get her on the ass.
Outflanking maneuvers always have been one of the most important battle tactics, it sounds like the reserves rules helps with performing it.
@zorg and @khy0te – yep, as Oddball says: “You gotta hit it point blank and you gotta hit it from BEHIND!”
Not got a game of Tank Wars in yet, but I’m interested to have a look at it.
Great tips, those are some awesome tanks and a boat of some sort hmm…
@Fireblarney and @falerox – Charlie’s a great guy to interview, and he gives great tips on how to win with tanks in Bolt ACtion.
