Mr Lovecraft will be rotating with excitement in his grave seeing another game settled in his mythology about the ancient ones. I rotate as well as I remember all the fantastic short stories of his that I read quite a while ago, my favourite of which is, was and will always the “Shadow out of Time”. The minis of the “monsters” astonishingly resemble what I thought the ancient ones might look like. when I imagined their shape whilst reading the stories. The only thing that can not be captured is of course Lovecrafts concept of connecting the appearance of the… Read more »
“That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die.”
I cannot wait for this!
How do people feel about Kickstarting stuff like this? Seems like this isnt what Kickstarter is for. They have models, the game designed already. Isnt this just using kickstarter as a pre order? Why have kickstarter take 10% from you?
They use KS because this is about selling miniatures. The game might be meh, but you can build lots of hype for SG’s etc on KS and people won’t care.
KS is about hype, not about great games, and CMON are one of the best at creating hype for average games with fancy plastic.
I’m fine. I’d prefer my money going towards the game than the middlemen. Did you know that, for every copy of Monolith’s $125 MSRP Conan, Monolith was paid only $25 per copy?
WOW a game from them i want…..and you can use the figs for mansion of madness as well…. looking forward to finding out about the board/locations…………
The figures look amazing, I am not too sure of the game as we haven’t seen it yet, but Erik Lang is a phenomenal designer. A lot of competition in this space though, gonna keep an eye on it.
Where has the video gone?
Is it just me or is the sound all screwed up on this video?
I’m not sure what happened to sound. I will upload the video soon. It is working on a PC
Looks interesting,
(but the sound is indeed a bit ropey)
Love Lovecraft. Love solo play, so a win from me so far.
Big thumbs up for solo play!!
“Shooting Cthulhu in the face” is definitely relevant to my interests. Not least with those minis.
I’m really intrigued by this. I can’t wait to see more on this later.
This sounds very interesting and may get my money this year.
miniature look great the the game sounds great
Noice!
Models look awesome.
They do make some cool models, but that always just leaves me afraid that their games are hiding behind that and won’t be as ood as they appear.
CMoN go head-2-head with FFG in a Cthulu Weird scenario based board game
Death may Die (DmD) vs Mansions of Madness (MoM)
Predictions:
CMoN minis will win that face-off
Very different mechanics
I’ll end up with both of them on my shelves!
Hopefully the “familiar” parts aren’t any game elements from Zombicide. I would love to see something new!
Never got into this world so unsure about it to be honest
Miniatures look good though
Cthulhu is cool!
Wow, sounds great
These are really ace
sounds really nice, the minis look awesome but I am not a big fan of kickstarters
