Funny enough I never have thought to look at the real uniforms themselves to draw from colour schemes. Usually I would reference paintings from WWII historical sites. I do know of a web site that recreates “ALL” main forces uniforms, medals and trinkets. I will post it when I find it.
@johnlyons Here it is. Reference away all.

Fallschrimjager! springen und sterben!
Buttons! Buttons everywhere!
Jokes aside, this is a great addition to the weekend I think, gives a taste of the real thing that all the models are based on.
Lewis at the medical…”too small for a rifle, give him a catapult.”
John looks the part. Needs some dirt though.
I actually passed that medical with flying colours. They even gave me a Lolli-pop. 🙂
Nice, hopefully the jumpsmock wil be camouflaged. Love to c them
I want a jacket like John’s. So cool
Warzan really is all hands… fiddling with every button he can find 🙂
These segments look awesome. Just finished my allied tanks and now onto my US army I like the idea of having it a bit of a painting tutorial as well.
Didn’t realize Warren was that into leather-the cattle in Norther Ireland must be a nervous lot.
Quickly! group hug!
great uniforms
Like to see Warren in a Russian uniform.
Warren’s obsessing about buttons? Sounds like he’s about ready to join the legions of Civil War re-enactors we have here in the states. July the 4th is coming up and prime time for those folks in Gettysburg, PA for the anniversary of the battle. Plenty of blue and grey (and their proper buttons) and hoop skirts abound.
Easy Warren, you got a little close there to die Haden!
Got to love a lot of leather
There have been different US Air Force uniforms the last few years that were never accepted, after often featuring design elements that reminded people too much of German uniforms. Mark down decorative leather belts as another thing the Germans ruined for the rest of us!
Nice gear, love Johns helmet!
Must have missed that pic!
Having a handy reenactor for colour checking beats the hell out of relying on google by the looks.
Ahahaha great video 😀
Looking foward to see more of these 😀
Too fluffyyyyy 😀
Nice addition guys. Good reference material (no pun intended).
As I’m currently building my FJ army, this is a really useful reference. Thanks guys!
No one rocking a Tommy lid? Aaaw.
Need tp be careful there Warren,
how scared did lewis look when warren grabed his leg
I was frantically searching for the Gravity knife.
