When and what will be the Myth 2 kickstarter?
I’m loving the game.
What have they learned from their first KS other then people can be very obnoxiuos and rude.
Things like
1. Will they spil shippement again according to continent.
2. Their presence to the communitie. They have been awfull quite on ks. I know for some it’s a matter dammened if you do and dammened if you dont.
My biggest beef wasnt they were late. Many ks are late and thats understandable.
My biggest beef was they looked into shipping the base game before xmas 2013. Then because tax issues it was early 2014 and then they only shipped to the US. That made whole mess of things and that was i flint in a powder kegg.
Can they say anything about that.
Dont get me wrong, i think its a great game. Love the game and had a chance to play it twice.
But making statements like that and then not following up makes them unbelievable as a company.
1 i mean split shippments
What will they do to improve communications with the croweds
Will there be a lion monster faction in the future?
Like minons/captains and boss.
How are they going to distrubuate the updated cards for the expansion Heros and items?
Like now with patched DLC?
How would you get the promocards from gencon in your deck? Kill a mini-boss or?
What is the state of the new rulebook?
Love the game:)
When looking back on the kickstarter, what are the three things they would have done differently if they could do it all over again?
Will tools or some sort of software be made available on-line for those of us who don’t know how to use indesign or photoshop. This way, we could make our quests ourselves in the same format as the game, like for example show a graphical representation of how the tiles need to be positioned etc.
What caused the shortage on the spriggan card sleeves? (kickstarter exclusive)
I really like the gameplay videos on the megacon website. Will additional videos be made in the future? For example, to show how certain expansion heroes function.
What I would like to know. ( Genuine question, not trying to be arsey even though it will seem like I am. ) How come the EU distributor ran out of most items when the list of items thet were needed was already set in stone..?
Oh and. When will said missing items be shipped to those that are missing them…?
Myth has obviously been a success and has the potential to run and run. What I’d like to know is apart from expansions to Myth has this enabled Megacon to build on this success to brng us something new. Quite simply what’s in the pipeline from Megacon ?
what is the hangouts name to join in on it? or will it just be shared with the beasts of war community afterwards?
a question on the elemental boss (Ia): WHOS IDEA WAS IT, TO FACE A PISSED OFF CAPTAIN PLANET!?
weill there be video games based on mercs or myth in the (far) future?
1) MMO influence. They’ve mentioned several times their strategy for “patching” and adding content is influenced by MMOs. Can they elaborate on what they like from this strategy, why they are adopting, and what’s coming in the quarters ahead.
2) Community engagement. MMO’s are all about the community. How will McG engage the community now that KS has been fulfilled and most of the noise around fulfillment and documentation quelled? Specific examples would be nice.
3) Kenny announced a community quest contest this past Summer. It never happened. Do they have plans to conduct?
4) How has Recon’s KS been influenced by the Myth KS?
5) There appeared to be a conscious decision early on in the distribution of Myth to disengage from the Community (it is still going on). Can you please elaborate on those decisions and how you might handle the situation (BGG is what I am specifically referring to) in the future.
6) There is a vibrant community struggling to play certain aspects of your game. MANY questions have been asked (on several forums including your own). How do you have a plan to address these questions? People just want to play YOUR game the way you intended…
7) The play videos were/are AWESOME. What additional videos are planned? It would be fantastic to see examples on how each character is played (including the additional heroes).
8) Will the Skaald, Trickster, and Spriggan receive updates to their hero decks like the base heroes did in patch 1.1? How will you distribute?
9) Can you please describe how Myth came to life? I’ve heard it was designed on an airplane on the way to a conference. Please describe those early brainstorming sessions. What were your influences?
10) What’s been your largest regret regarding the Myth KS?
11) How has the community surprised you (positively)? How have people played the game that has surprised you?
12) No Q&A session would be complete without questions regarding the rulebook. There has been a tremendous amount of feedback on this aspect of Myth. So much so that a fan completely rewrote the Mercs version into a much more comprehensive version. How has this feedback impacted the guys? Are they approaching user documentation any differently for Recon and future Myth titles?
13) Based on community feedback, you released an entirely different set of hero cards for the 1.1 Patch (thanks!). Can you elaborate on what process you took in making the changes? Did you elicit feedback from focus groups? What steps did you go through in developing these new (much better) cards?
14) There was mention of using Amazon to distribute Recon KS. Is this something you’ve decided on?
15) What were the major “takeaways” from Fulfillment? We know it wasn’t easy. What were some things you were surprised about?
16) You are a tight team – what do your families think of Myth?
17) Is Myth still a “game” or is it a “job” now? Do you play Myth “for fun”? Please elaborate.
18) What games do you play “for fun”?
19) There were many people that asked for refunds. Did you resell all the abandoned pledges?
20) Within the community, Myth seems to be a polarizing game. People seem to either love it or hate it. How has the negative feedback influenced you?
21) Besides the KS fulfillment, how many copies of Myth (base retail) have been sold? How would you categorize retail sales at this point (good, okay, etc.)?
22) Will there be a second printing of Myth? If so, what content would you anticipate changing?
23) There was a 1.1 Rulebook posted in your 1.1 Patch (June 30, 2014). What is the status of that manual rewrite as of today? Have you been influenced at all by the fan made version?
24) What are your best memories of the Myth KS?
25) Can you articulate the future milestones for the Myth franchise? Major Retail release cycles (for the KS “add-ons” and stretch goals. Are there events that have to take place before the next Myth KS? If so what are they?
I’ll see what others I can come up with today. Thanks for arranging this, BoW!
It seems that people in the EU who backed Myth had to wait ages for their pledges to arrive, while people in the US had already received theirs. I have backed MERCS Recon and want to know if I will be waiting, or if any issues with EU distribution will be resolved this time round?
Also is the reason for the delay in seeing the remaining models and factions for MERCS because of Recon, and is it because the model range is being changed to all plastic?
Sorry, rephrasing my last question. Is the reason for delay the fact that the models in Recon are all plastic and you are looking at replacing the current range with plastic models instead of metal?
Here is the big question that the MERCS tabletop veterans all want to know:
“Will a beta for 2.0 be released to the community prior to printing so that it may be reviewed and possibly improved?”
The MegaCon teams has been dead silent on this question every time it’s been asked. C’mon, I know you guys want to tell us! 😉
I’m hoping to get the base game shortly. When will supplies of the various expansions be available in the UK?
So here are my questions just for MERCS:
-How far are you guys with the new MERCS 2.0 rulebook?
-Could you tell us a release date?
-What kind of changes can we expect?
-How many Movement Points will it cost to cross a chesthigh wall (ER1)?
-The community is griping about Heavys and Snipers, because they need to set or cant shoot every turn. Any plans to change that?
-Do I have to change my playcards and buy new ones, or will they stay the same?
-We all seen some nice screenshots and artworks. Care to share some more?
-So will every Corporation get a “Reinforcement Pack”?
-Is there a release date for MERCS: Recon?
-Is MERCS: Recon like Myth, but just in the future, or will it have it’s very own mechanics?
-I cant wait to see “Robocop”!
I look forward to MERCS: Recon and the future of MERCS. I almost finished my KemVar team. Next up in line will be House 4.
Sound like an interesting set of games, congrats on christening the new studio.
Interesting. Really looking forward to Mercs 2.0 and the release of all those different Megacons.
Well thanks for condescending to send this game to EU backers after so long. Do you expect much backing from the EU in any future Kickstarters you’ve planned after this?
It’s not just the delay, but also that you’ve enough product to be a top 10 game in North America while us EU fools wait for stuff. It’s partly that, but it’s mostly that I could even buy my pledge via retail while I wait for my Kickstarter. That’s really taking the piss.
Good luck with whatever else you crowdfund but don’t expect me to pay the slightest bit of attention.
Sorry I missed the live hangout. The new studio looks nice and roomy. Congratulations on being able to expand, and good luck with it.
Sorry but I had to laugh at the involving the community bit considering they’ve practically ignored the community completely.
@warzan – Thanks for putting this together and facilitating. A few sound issues to iron out, but the major points were delivered quite well. I thought your interview was well planned. Thanks for including some of my questions! It was good to hear answers to some of them.
Congrats on the new studio too!!
