Head To The Pacific With Micro Art’s New WW2 Terrain
January 23, 2026 by brennon
Micro Art Studio has surprised folks with a new set of releases for their World War II terrain collection. This new set of pre-painted terrain has been designed for you to recreate the jungle locations of the Pacific in World War II.

All of the terrain pieces are 28mm scale and come unassembled. You will need to glue them together with PVA but once that's done, there is no painting involved. All of the buildings are entirely pre-painted/pre-coloured via UV-printing, so you can have a table ready in two shakes of a lamb's tail.
The first set (above) features a set of two Jungle Huts. They have simple thatched roofs and are mounted on stilts. This style of building would have been very common in Southeast Asia and Oceania, making it great for some island-hopping gameplay.
No self respecting set-up for the military works without the addition of a Barracks. That's what you have here with this second set from the new range.

The Barracks has a bit more room inside it for housing all of your soldiers, be they from the Axis or the Allies. The roof comes off the building (as it does with all of the pieces shown here) and you have large open windows so you can fire from inside if you like.
If you've got a lot of soldiers in one place, you're going to need to feed them. You can pick up the Kitchen to do just that.

This is another large, open-plan building which has plenty of room within it, so you can set up some civilians who have been cornered and need rescuing. You also have big windows on the sides, meaning that's a good shout for someone needing a place to rest their machine gun. Another great piece for the Pacific.
Talking of good places to take a shot from, you can also get the Guard Towers set, which comes with two of these structures.

A great place for a sniper to situate himself and take shots at the enemy. You could also play something a little more subtle than Bolt Action with this. How about 02 Hundred Hours but with a Pacific twist? Have the guards up in the towers keeping an eye on proceedings. You need to get up there and slit some throats!
You can buy all of these terrain pieces separately if you like, or dive in and get the bundle.

This comes with all of the terrain above and gives you all you'd need for a sizable table. You can then fill in the gaps with plenty of jungle trees. You could also use this terrain for plenty of fights that took place after World War II. These would be great for use in a war like Vietnam, for example.
Are you going to be getting your hands on this new terrain from Micro Art Studio?

Great looking wooden huts. Rambo not included 🤔
They do look great and are perfect for an instant build board.
Looks like they would do as Vietnam village buildings as well
Aw, wish they did the whole “prepainted MDF” treatment for the 28mm Stalingrad range.
Yes, I have been reading Battlegroup Stalingrad recently, why do you ask?
