Eureka Miniatures has released a new range of Tlingit Warriors for those looking to expand their 28mm collection for tribal battles on the tabletop. Who are the Tlingits? Well, let's find out together!

Tlingit Chief - Eureka Miniatures

Tlingit Chief // Eureka Miniatures

The Tlingit peoples are indigenous to the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America. They were famed for their impressively wrought wooden armour and the intimidating helmets that they wore. You can see this here represented in the sculpts by Mick Darpa and painted by James (Mogysmakes) Morris.

Tlingit Shaman - Eureka Miniatures

The Tlingits would have many clashes with the Russian explorers and settlers who came over in the 18th Century. One of the most notable clashes was the Battle of Sitka whch was a response to the Tlingit destruction of Russian fur-trading outposts.

The range not only contains some lovely new characters like the Chief and Shaman above but also the Tlingits with melee weapons, bows and muskets.

The Tlingit range from Eureka Miniatures, at least in 28mm scale, comes with a mixture of figures in each set, ranging from six to eight models. You get plenty of miniatures that you'd need for making a skirmishing warband ready to take on the colonial influences trying to stake a claim on their homeland.

The Tlingit range can be used for those clashes with Russian explorers and settlers but also later inter-tribal clashes and battles against the likes of the Americans and the Canadians. A good use for these miniatures would be alongside Mana Press' Tribal rules.

If 15mm is your preference, then you can get some Tlingits in that scale from Eureka Miniatures HERE as well, sculpted by Alan Marsh.

Are you going to be picking these up?
