EVEN More 8mm TravelBattle Metals Released By Perry Miniatures
February 24, 2026 by brennon
Perry Miniatures added even more 8mm TravelBattle miniatures to their collection for those looking to expand their Napoleonic wargames. If you've already got the box from back in 2017, you've got some fun new options for expanding your collection here.
Westphalian Landwehr // Perry Miniatures
All of the miniatures (nineteen of them in total) are based on the original plastic frames that were made by Alan and Michael back when TravelBattle launched. They have now been converted and cast in metal, making them perfectly compatible with the original plastics.
Grenadiers of the French Imperial Guard // Perry Miniatures
They cover a range of nations that were fighting during the Napoleonic period. British, French, Prussians, Russians and more are all included, so you can enhance the plastic set that you already have. Use them as your regular infantry and then these as specialists if you like.
92nd Highlanders // Perry Miniatures
Whilst there are no rules for using different units like these within your games of TravelBattle, there's no reason you can't just pick these and use them to recreate a particular battle on the tabletop. They will all work with the game as it stands and you never know, there might be more coming should Perry Miniatures put their minds to it.
Dutch Lancers of the French Imperial Guard // Perry Miniatures
French Cuirassiers // Perry Miniatures
If this has got you excited, Perry Miniatures are also working on even more for this black powder era. As well as covering the Napoleonic with what you see here, they are also working on 8mm TravelBattle American Civil War and Seven Years' War, which will be coming in the future.
Russian Cossacks // Perry Miniatures
Again, all of those miniatures (like these) will just work with the basic TravelBattle rules. Infantry, cavalry and artillery will all fundamentally work the same, keeping things simple within the realm of TravelBattle.
The last of the sets that I wanted to showcase (there are many more options on their website!) is this set of metal Fieldworks.
Fieldworks // Perry Miniatures
The Fieldworks can be used as Fleche and Fortlets and you can use them as built-up areas within your games of TravelBattle, the small farms and "villages" that you'll remember from your boards.
TravelBattle Metals // Perry Miniatures
All of these miniatures are available right now! Go and pick them up and get your 8mm collection up to scratch for some games soon.
What do you make of these 8mm miniatures?

“Serving suggestion” XD But that that size travel tables start getting small, don’t they? Nice looking stuff nonetheless.
If it wasn’t for the prospect of having to paint a billion miniatures I might be tempted to buy something in 8mm.
I do love the “Highlanders: Can be painted as…Highlanders”
