New Faction! The Alliance Storm Into Armoured Clash Soon
September 1, 2025 by brennon
A new faction has entered the fray for Warcradle Studios' 10mm miniature wargame, Armoured Clash. At the end of September, you'll be able to get your hands on The Alliance who are bringing all manner of new and interesting troops and vehicles to the tabletop.

The Alliance are an interesting faction in that they are part of a perhaps unlikely partnership that has formed out of the glories of old. New leadership has brought together the Republique of France, the League of Italian States, the Sovereignty of Spain and the Kingdom of Portugal to form a formidable force that seeks to rival the other world powers.
Whereas before, their lands were the battlegrounds for the other European nations, the Alliance is now in a position to establish itself as a force to be reckoned with. A truly powerful Latin alliance!
Becerrillo War Dogs // Armoured Clash
There is a nice mixture of troops, vehicles and more within this collection which echo the feel of the Alliance in the lore for Armoured Clash. You have troops that have been drawn from the different nations, all fighting together as one and lending their specialities to the cause. For example, you could unleash the deadly Becerrillo War Dogs or call on the expertise of the French Legionnaires.

If you prefer a bit more speed, then you can also get your hands on the Bersaglieri Outriders, who still retain that flamboyant nature that you'd expect! If you're going to be riding into battle, then you'd better have all of your feathers on show!
Bersaglieri Outriders // Armoured Clash
It's not all small fry, however, as you'll also have plenty of big artillery to move into position. Hunker down within the Navarre Artillery Tank and send those big bombards flying into the ranks of the enemy, sowing disarray as they explode!

If you want to cause even more of a stir, then you won't go far wrong once you've rolled the Valença Landfortress/Ghent Landship into position. Whereas the rest of the collection that you've seen in the Battlegroup is plastic, this big beast of a miniature is resin and showcases the might of the Alliance!
Valenca Landship // Armoured Clash
As defensible as a castle, it can provide a serious amount of firepower from its battlements and it helps to transport your troops into the heart of the fighting. Find a spot on the battlefield that you want to call your own and then plonk this down!
This is just a small taste of what you get inside the jam-packed Battlegroup Starter Set, which also features...

Plenty of great miniatures that should be fun for those who don't want to paint the same style of miniature a bunch of times. A lot of the Armoured Clash boxed sets are stuffed full of miniatures that feel unique but with the Alliance, you get loads of different regiments in various styles and colours. A bit of fun for a hobbyist!
Alliance Air Support
Each of the factions in Armoured Clash comes with aircraft now, so it would be a shame if the Alliance didn't get something fun to play with. Thankfully, Warcradle has helped out in that regard and will be adding the Malinois Interdictor to the releases for the end of September.
Malinois Interdictor // Armoured Clash
The Malinois Interdictor is a long-range strike aircraft. It combines speed, resilience and devastating firepower for dominating the battlefield. You can hammer the enemy with its relentless bombing runs thanks to its advanced ordnance.

I really like the proper Pulpy vibe that this particular flyer is giving off. It has the look of something epic from Thunderbirds or Captain Scarlet, which is enough to get a tick from me. Big, beefy and something a little bit different from a few of the other aircraft we've seen for Armoured Clash.
Alliance Command & Conquest Deck
Capping things off, we also have the Alliance Command & Conquest Deck, which is going to be key to you winning your games of Armoured Clash.
Alliance Command & Conquest Deck // Armoured Clash
Your Command & Conquest Deck gives you both your Commands that can be issued to your army as well as Conquests, which score you Victory Points. A general will need to know what portion of the card to use at the right time in order to secure victory on the tabletop.
Could you be tempted to snap up the Alliance for use in Armoured Clash?

While I struggle with the use of proprietary dice (seriously, why not just use regular dice?) every new release of this game gets me tempted to buy in. These guys look great.
Can’t wait to see what the Sultanate looks like.
Just lovely….the bases are lovely, the minis are lovely, the plane is lovely….well done warcradel, via le belle alliance
