Head to the World's Faire Afterparty with a brand new Starter Set and range of miniatures coming out to support TTCombat's beautiful and unique skirmish game, Carnevale.
World's Faire Afterparty - Miniatures // Carnevale
A brand new clash awaits and whilst Venice is beautiful by day, by night, it is full of terrors...
"Citizens of Venice, rejoice as the World's Faire has arrived in town! We all share the scars from the great catastrophe of 1793, but painful memories belong to the past; now is the time to acknowledge how far our beloved Venice has come. As we near the end of 1795 and take a step closer to the dawn of a new century, we invite everyone to revel in the Doctors of the Ospedale's latest mindbending inventions."
This set comes with new plastic miniatures for both the Doctors and the Patricians. Both sides get four finely detailed hard-plastic figures, which you can use as the starting point for your clashes around the canals of Venice. Much like with Escape from San Canciano, this smaller gang allows you to expand quickly with more of the miniatures from both factions.
Barnabotti - Viviana // Carnevale
Cat Burglar - Giovanni // Carnevale
Hired Muscle - Bambina // Carnevale
Household Staff - Tino // Carnevale
This set comes with two new character types, the Doctor of Divine Probability and the Hired Muscle.
Doctor of Divine Probabilities - Carlotta // Carnevale
Carrion // Carnevale
Electron Cannoneer - Nicci // Carnevale
Monstrosity // Carnevale
You will also get familiar characters, revamped for this set, including the likes of the Barnabotti, Cat Burgler, Electron Cannoneer and more.
New Carnevale Terrain // TTCombat
This set also comes with a set of quick-to-assemble card buildings, which have been designed to support the weight of your miniatures and look awesome, whilst also being great for those starting out who want a table to look nice. The designs match the new Starter set with imagery based on the Doctors, plus nods to the World's Faire, which is happening in the background.
There is also a new compact Rulebook covering the mechanics of Carnevale.
Carnevale Rulebook // TTCombat
This includes all of the basics for movement, combat, actions, magic, interacting with terrain and loads of special rules. You will also find several scenarios to play out, which are based on the miniatures from this new set. Character and Quickplay Cards are also included separately so you can refer to them quickly during gameplay.
All in all, you'll get...
- 8 finely detailed hard plastic miniatures (4x Doctors, 4x Patricians)
- 8 Plastic Bases
- Dice
- Tokens
- 3 Different Card Buildings
- Card Scenery Pack (including a Gondola)
- Range Ruler
- Character & Quickplay Cards
- Double-Sided Gaming Mat
- Updated Rulebook
Pre-orders for Carnevale: World's Faire Afterparty are set to go live at the end of October with a full release later in November. You won't have long to wait!

Carnevale in plastic instead of resin. Interesting. Their resins are good, but can be tricky to assemble with superglue… for me anyway.
you and me both 🙂
I’ve yet to find the magical combination that makes it stick for me, although the gel like superglue is supposedly easier to use.
Gorilla Superglue works, and if struggle I use a cyanoacrylate accelerator with it
I’ll second Gorilla superglue. The gel is great.
Anyone heard if this will be the start of transitioning to plastics or just a “one off”? The game is great and the minis are too….just sooooo many fidlx breakable things….*sigh*
As a fan of the Patricians, this may finally get me to buy a starter set and try and demo this game.
Carnevale is one of those games I should try, it always looks so intriguing…
It’s a lot of fun. Very cinematic. Just don’t go expecting a very tightly-balanced tournament ruleset. It’s very much a narrative game.
So cool to get plastics in this game, wonder if it is a reawakening of the line – I am presuming it is the same rulebook as opposed to a new edition.
