Atomic Mass Games are taking even more pre-orders for repackaged and refreshed characters and units that will be joining the update to Star Wars: Legion. Here, we're focusing on the Clone Wars era with the Galactic Republic and Separatists.

Republic Clone Commandos // Star Wars: Legion

The first of the sets contains some elite Republic Clone Commandos who are going to be taking down clankers with extreme prejudice on the tabletop.

This refreshes the Clone Commandos with new art alongside updated cards so you can slot these into your Galactic Republic army. You could use these as a great way to expand on the Starter Set for the Galactic Republic with some elite troopers.

Tactical Droids & Deadly Machines

Moving away from the Galactic Republic, there are also some repackaged sets for the Separatists of the Clone Wars era. Leading the way is a set that allows you to build your own Super Tactical Droid Commanders.

This set comes with two options for building your Super Tactical Droid Commanders to use alongside the Separatist Alliance. One of them is posed as if they are taking in the battlefield situation before issuing orders. The other is readying their blaster to take on some damnable Clone who has managed to breach their secure perimeter.

I really like these sets, where you can build your own characters for use in Star Wars: Legion. It's nice playing as the major characters of the Star Wars saga but sometimes, you want to tell your own stories. The Clone Wars stretched far beyond whatever Obi-Wan Kenobi and the others were involved with.

If you're looking to protect your Commanders, then you might want to pick up the IG-100 Magnaguards.

A deadly set of six miniatures which can be armed with a variety of weapons. You can arm them with their crackling melee weapons alongside a flickering whip. If none of those work then there's also a missile launcher which can blow your enemies away.

A great set with lots of different options that should be fun to paint. I like the idea of theming their cloaks so that they fit a particular Droid Commander. If you've gone with a particular colour scheme for your battle droids, then work that into the cloaks so you can tell who they are allied to.

Last but not least, you can also get a set that comes with droids that even Jedi fear! Unleash the Droidekas!

Droidekas // Star Wars: Legion

Roll out with a set that comes with four miniatures representing your Droidekas in both deployed and rolling mode. They still look awesome and I think it would be great if someone could design some shields that you could place over the top of the miniatures, sitting nicely on the bases.

Everything is getting levelled up for you to throw back into Star Wars: Legion. If you're a veteran or a newcomer, starting out with one of those new sets, there's plenty for you to sink your teeth into. I like that Atomic Mass Games are working quickly to get these miniatures out there into the world with a refreshed look.
