The Mandalorian Battle Force & More Coming To Star Wars: Legion
April 3, 2026 by brennon
Atomic Mass Games dropped more neat previews during their AdeptiCon preview for Star Wars: Legion. We've seen a good chunk of it before but it was awesome to see the big reveal of the upcoming Mandalorian Battle Force, which will be landing later in 2026.
Mandalorian Army Box // Star Wars: Legion
At the core of this is the Mandalorian Army Box, which comes absolutely chock full of different Mandalorians, all in various personalised armour and with a mixture of different weapons. It feels like it suits the style of the Mandalorians and how they fight based on their appearances in the Mandalorian TV show and beyond. This will certainly be one of those collections that is going to be for those who love painting lots of individual projects!
Din Djarin & The Armourer // Star Wars: Legion
You couldn't add Mandalorians into the mix on this scale without some notable characters in the mix as well. That's where the likes of Din Djarin and The Armourer come in. Iconic characters, given a new look for Star Wars: Legion.
They aren't the only notable characters that you'll be able to make when playing as the Mandalorians in Star Wars: Legion. You'll also be able to build the likes of Bo-Katan Kryze, Paz Vizsla and Axe Woves.
Mandalorian Leaders // Star Wars: Legion
There's a neat closer look at some of the different miniatures that you can make from the Mandalorian range that popped up as part of the preview. I think they look great when you get a closer look at the likes of the Initiates...
Mandalorian Warriors // Star Wars: Legion
...and the Warriors themselves. They all look like they are going to be really fun to paint. I think some folks are going to be going absolutely crazy with the personalisation of their armour, especially their helmets, when they come out.

You can see more of the Mandalorians by checking out the link HERE. You will be able to get a closer look at some more of the variants there, as well as a peek at their rules. There is also their full roadmap, which sees the Mandalorians landing in Q3 and Q4 of this year.
Another fun surprise that they threw into the mix at the end of the preview was this...
Air Support // Star Wars: Legion
You might not have X-Wing anymore but air support is going to be swooping onto the battlefield in 2027. This starts with the iconic X-Wing and will grow and develop, covering both the era of the Rebellion and that of the Clone Wars. It will be fascinating to see how they fit into Legion, especially with their larger scale (in terms of battlefield) mode for the game coming out in the future, too.
What do you make of the new Star Wars: Legion previews?

Legion scale aircraft? That’s cool.
I had an x-wing, y-wing and a-wing in legion scale back when the game first released. they were FDM prints though so very different (mainly terrain) for my Yavin themed table.
a query I have is around the ‘scale’ of the battle and how they fit in with it all. atm I fear its gimmicky
I have always wanted a “nice” Y-Wing, don’t know why (I had a diecast small one as a kid, probably), so I will probably grab one just for fun. I hope they are “kits” and have some build factor like a GW kit so at least you can modify or paint it up properly.
I think flyers might be part of the range to support the 2000 point format they were testing at adepticon. I am interested at seeing the implimentation as I agree generally they don’t fit in well in these size games
I’ll have you I still have all the X-Wing! I just hope the air support won’t end up being silly expensive.
It will be expensive – remember how much they wanted for the wrecked X-Wing? It was laughably expensive.
christ, all the terrain they made was laughably expensive. same with the battle-bus and battle-taxi too actually, so much so that stores ended up selling the sock off at £10 a go just to get rid of it.
I remember seeing the X-Wing on blowout 😂
the Mando box is cool, but there are so many doubles in there. I can see between 4 and 7 of the same type of running legs (silhouette at least)
I’ve been trying to work this out. It looks like there are four basic troop poses, plus one leader pose. There are 22 models in that set and only two of them appear to be the leader, so you’d have five of each of the other poses! This set does look to be more versatile than most (I just built a unit of the new B1’s and there wasn’t a single option). But still, for a pure infantry army they will become pretty repetitive. Mix in the older models if you can get them!
I have already asked the flgs to get me the army box, unsuprisingly, want to see the army rules as my own clan appeals a lot
Will be grabbing 224th battalion box as well
Also ghost crew were shown off and look amazing, especially chopper
Whoa, whoa, whoa, a jump pack moddel that isn’t precariously perched on a tactical rock it’s touching with the tip of its toes? Is this even allowed???
