Victoria Miniatures Tease The Grimdark Empire Sci-Fi Range

Victoria Miniatures are working towards a new Kickstarter campaign soon for the Grimdark Empire. This will be an expansion to their existing 28mm Sci-Fi range that caters to the various regiments that are fighting the good fight against the hordes of Chaos throughout the galaxy.

With that in mind, we've been getting a look at some of the work-in-progress designs and sculpts that will be popping up as part of the collection. For example, we have a couple of Storm Trooper Sergeants above. One has been designed to fit the Tannenburg Fusiliers range, whilst the other fits with the Victorian Guard.
Each of these is a modular sculpt but with the different heads to give you some great options for your elite troops on the tabletop. This also comes alongside an overhaul and redesign of the Female troops for this range.

You can get a good sense of how the new Female troops have been redesigned to suit the style and proportions of the Lt. Mera Drax miniature, which has been included on the Victoria Miniatures webstore.

She is a free miniature with every order, be that physical or digital. Get her painted up and start hunting down some heretic/rebel scum and putting them to task. You can also just buy her separately if you just want her (although why not bundle it in with something fun and new!).
All of this is coming together for that Grimdark Empire Kickstarter. It's well worth keeping an eye on the Victoria Miniatures Facebook Page, as that is where they share all of their work-in-progress teasers and previews like the one below.

This gives you a good idea of the modular options that are going to be available as part of the Firing Line Squad when it comes to the Kickstarter campaign. You get a great set of bodies, legs, arms, weapon options and of course plenty of different heads.
With Victoria Miniatures and the likes of Anvil Industry or Wargames Atlantic making some great alternative Imperial Guard for use in your grimdark wargames, the standard Cadians are feeling a little bit lacklustre at this point! Why not stretch your wings and try a different regiment for your grimdark wargames?

I do have a weakness for Sci Fi pith helmets….
Always loved Victorias sculpts, I have a few resin guardsmen from several years ago and more recently had a copy of the Halfling sniper Stl’s i printed off which were excellent.
I may actually have to get in on this campaign, I feel a orcs rift project could be in the works 😀
