A quick run down of me

I’ve been working in the media industry for the last 20 years, mainly as a graphic designer, photographer, journalist and in PR. I’m currently working for a magazine publisher in South Yorkshire as a magazine editor. I edit a quarterly farming magazine and a monthly construction trade paper.

I’ve also worked as a teacher/lecturer whilst working as a freelancer. I’ve taught on A Level and BTEC courses in media which includes magazine production. Some of the posts I plan to include will be some of the lessons I’ve taught in magazine production.

I’ve also been running Irregular Magazine since July 2009, with a team of 10 between 2009-2011, then after that the team shrank as members started their own on-line projects or every day life got in the way. For the last 12 months its been myself and a friend who been one board since 2009. We’ve also had a plethora of people contribute to the magazine that’s included articles and artwork.

Now we’ve decided to completely re-design the web zine to look more like a professional magazine for our 10th year.
