I picked up the DOOM Board Game from Fantasy Flight Games way back in 2016 and I’ve had a lot of intermittent fun with it over the last few years.

However, this has also been one of those board game collections that I said I was going to paint in its entirety but never did! So, with the Spring Cleaning Hobby Challenge back this year I thought I’d break out the old models and work on them again.

My idea with the game was that I would paint up the figures using a mixture of washes and drybrushing to create quick and easy paint jobs for the various models. As you can see I started this (see above) by painting the Imps but never got around to painting up the other models like the Revenants and Marines.

The game has also seen a bit of wear and tear since I last attempted this project and as it stands, the miniatures have a few chips on them. So, as well as going back in and painting the models I missed before I also have to give some TLC to the models I already worked on.

The game is a lot of fun and the miniatures are also really nice too. They really do work nicely when given a good wash and since I first picked up this game I’ve also had the chance to play around with the new Contrast paints by Games Workshop too.

These have been quite the awesome switch and they are making the painting of these models go even quicker and with more dynamism!

So, it’s time to get stuck in and paint up some of these DOOM models for the Spring Cleaning Hobby Challenge!
