So got my first mini painted this morning, Tyreese from the Walking Dead.

So a quick break down of what and where.

Riot Gear

  • Black Templar Contrast
  • Eshin Grey Layer
  • Dawnstone Layer
  • Dawnstone Layer 50:50 White Scar Layer highlight in places.

Helmet Visor (same as the riot gear for the black)

  • Dawnstone 50:50 Lahmian Medium
  • Stage 1 mix 75:25 White Scar Layer
  • Stage 2 mix 75:25 White scar Layer
  • White Scar Layer 50:50 Lahmian Medium
  • Drakenhof Nightshade Shade 50:50 Lahmina Medium
  • A final highlight with stage 4

Face and Hammer Handle

  • Rhinox Hide Base (a couple of thinned layers)
  • Rhinox Hide Base 50:50 Dryad Bark base
  • Dryad Bark Base highlight (3-4 layers highlighting brow/cheeks,nose/jawline
  • Mournfang Brown Layer (lips)
  • Pallid Wych Flesh (eyes)
  • Carroburg Crimson Shade (eyes)
  • Teclis Blue Layer (eye colour, no pupil I’m not that brave)

Hammer Head

  • Templar Black Contrast
  • Mechanicus Standard Grey Base (highlight)
  • White Scar Layer (edge highlight)
  • Leadbelcher Base (thinned down highlight)
  • Sotrmhost Silver Layer (edge highlight)
  • Nuln Oil Shade 50:50 Lahmina Medium

I’ve got my WD minis to paint and was thinking contrast would be a good idea, any plan on how you’re going to do the zombies?
