Hero Quest – from the ashes

Fleabay giving me everything I need. Except the two missing axe wielding Goblins. But I will persist. Here is what (stripped) minis I have.

Got a set of dice. Should I leave them as is? Should I touch up the black paint?

This shortens the list to:

• 1 Alb
• 1 Orc
• 2 Goblins
• skulls and rats.

I’m getting excited! 8)

Another Lucky snag for me. An orc, three chests and more single tiles then I needed. Huzza!

All that now is still missing is:

• 1 Alb
• 2 D6
• 4 special combat dice
• 1 Orc
• 2 Goblins
• skulls and rats.

Easy enough… I think…

Well, it’s been two days and the white primer on one orc and one knight are refusing to come off. The knight is giving in a little more easily but they go back into the green bath a third and last time. Let’s see if that makes any difference.

Too much paint on these… STRIP IT!

And here are the current snags from fleabay.

So I nearly broke the project system with an extensive long first entry. But we will continue on.

• 64 Playing cards
• 4 Character boards
• 1 Pad of character sheets
• 0 of 2 Standard dice
• 0 of 4 Special combat dice

So all this leads up to the following list of missing parts:

• 3 treasure chests
• 1 single block tile
• 1 elf
• 1 wizard
• 2 dice
• 4 combat dice
• 2 Orcs
• 2 Goblins
• 1 lower part of sorcerer’s table
• 1 Box for the game

The last part of the list, the box, is somewhat odd. Do I go out of my way to find a new box or will I build a new one? Currently all parts have taken up temporary home in the box the ebay seller shipped me the gameboard in. Legend of Zagor, never heard of it. But that is why you see that box on the project. So, off to the hunt on ebay. Huzza!

When I opened the unsuspicious looking brown paper box I wasn’t expecting Hero Quest. Or the Quality Street sweets. Or the hand written letter. Again, thanks @doomzombie . So, the question you lot are asking yourself: What’s in the box?!
