About the Project
I got carried away..... and this means the original core army would never, ever be finished if I keep expanding as I go along. So here is everything! I want to do a massive game somewhere around 10 or 12 thousand points a side. And I want the miniatures to be suitable for as many other game systems as possible. I don’t want to do things twice! Whom do we serve? “SARUMAN!”

So what happened to the Norse?
Dense terrain field, a dug in position. How are wolf boys gonna cope with that?!
Not badly it turns out. Those poor chaos had a giant, bolt throwers pin cushioned the poor animal.
Norse marauder cavalry, pin cushioned.
Ungors, smacked with chariot impact hits in the gate.
Gors held the gate, just. The wolf boys outmanoebered and ran rings around the small chaos units and peppered them with annoying. Just annoyed them to death! The chaos sorcerer proved to not have brushed up on the spells the night before the battle and made a hash of them.
oh oh and the giant fell on his own troops! ??

The scenario is the first part of a new campaign we are playing, the scouting force has discovered a small Norscan town and tried to plunder it and the mine located on the towns outskirts. The mine fell into Warg rider hands but the town was successfully held by the sole remaining chaos unit! A minor victory to the Uruk hai Orc scout force. Only lost two wolves! The mine has given my army a bonus for next game, extra magic items! The town has conferred an extra 75 points of core units to the chaos side for next game.
the victory has given me the choice of the next scenario.
Ohhhh we have chosen to do an ambush attack on the Norscan retaliation force that is now to be sent out into the mountains and confront this new threat. They don’t know what they’re in for! The road that passes into the mountain valley is treacherous for an army in marching column! Let’s hope the Norse can send out a messenger in warning to the lord of the realm and warn them. This Orc force is but the outriders of an invasion force.
I plan to shoot down any messenger they send out during my ambush!
Great 1000 pt game. Next game is 2000 points. Let’s see how the chaos can do in a more open field, even if they are stretched out and not expecting to fight yet…….

Spiders of Isenguard
A few details to do, feathers, a touch of gap filling and a standard. 
But otherwise, the spider riders are here!!! What colours for spiders??…..It’s all my mates fault.
I’m trying to not get distracted by this game. It’s a really fun game and it took allllll day to play 3 turns! Lovely models from Dystopian wars 2.0, sadly now all out of print, and my British and American forces lost to the superior Prussian and Italian fleets.

I’m not tempted to buy some alien invaders, no indeedy. Of course not. After all I’ve got goblins to finish right?
Exactly what’s left to paint, I hope 4 months and no more!!
So this is everything that’s left to paint up. Some is well underway and I hope that I can do it in no lord than 4 months. I’m desperate to do something else for a bit, like dungeon saga demon expansion or some old school Eldar. Then straight in to my next big project, either Empire forces to match the hai in scale, or Undead!How do I stay on track?
I got side tracked again. I made this Carroccio with some alterations for my Empire army. Gonna use it as my grand theogonist with war altar. Will also have some witch hunter flagellants to accompany it.
I like it.
But how do I keep motivated to finish my orcs and goblins.

I’m very tempted to copy the old school forest goblin Tick riders (they never looked particularly like spiders to me) but I am drawn to the lovely yellow girl I found while out and about.
Or do I just go full comic book style as the green fella?
