About the Project
After printing and doing a quick job on 2000 pts of Vampire counts I'm starting on Bretonnians and taking a bit more time. I am now expanding this project out to all my Warmaster armies. I'll also be doing some 10mm terrain and other little side projects.

A Trip to the Garden Centre
A start on the wood elves but not with the pointy eared parts, with the trees.
A simple burnt umber base with a green ochre dry brush. The runes are picked out with Teseract glow then the tops flocked with two shades of sawdust flock.
I’m not too happy with the flocking, especially on smaller spirits, I may have to get hold of some clump foliage.
I think they would work well as an addition to the halfling army.
A few Bretonnian Characters
I haven’t forgotten the Bretonnians. Here’s a few characters I have finished.
Pegasus knight hero.
Enchantress. I need to get one on a unicorn painted.
Grail Relequae. Not exactly a hero but an additional buff to peasant units.
Who invited the Dwarves?
As these guys are mostly armour I started over a metal base that was then washed in nuln oil. Beards were then picked out in white and painted with various contrast colours. A few details are picked out in a shiny gold and the shields and banner painted.
I don’t think that I’ll use yellow again.
Miniatures are from Cromarty Forge https://www.centimetrewarriors.com/ where you can purchase STLs or buy them printed for you.
Goat Cavalry. Not baaad!
Lovely and characterful these. Almost all painted with contrast and some more 10mm decals from VVV for the shields. One rider even has a rather dashing cavalry moustache!
The Archers
I struggled to get through these. I don’t know why.
I’m not as happy with these as the rest of the army but it gives me room for improvement.
I am also (possibly) going to change the basis of the project to include all the Warmaster 10mm That I plan on doing. I have files for Dwarves, Hobbits, Undead and Wood Elves so far so there is plenty of variety to keep me going for a while yet.
Crazy Horses
One unit of pegasus knights complete.
The pegasus were simply a coat of contrast apocathery white, over a white base.
The main difference with these is the amount of empty base space that didn’t look right when done the same as the other bases. I broke up a section of my wall to create a ruined wall section for one base and trimmed a section of a small model tree for another. I probably should have cut it down a bit shorter. One of the knights is having to swerve around it. Also added were some flower tufts and a small stone.
Next on the table is a unit of archers!
A "LITTLE" diversion
I got these tiny fellas from Warploque’s patreon this month https://www.patreon.com/warploqueminiatures I plan on using them for Peasants as a peasant militia. They have a part medieval and part hoplite look to them.
I really want to use the goat cavalry somewhere!
Broken promises
I know that I promised archers or Pegasus Knights but … I got another units of Knights done instead.
The main difference this time is the addition of some 10mm shield transfers from Veni Vidi Vici to the barding.

Another Hero Joins the Frey
Another hero. This one has a bit of a Jean D’arc look.
2nd unit of Men-at-arms
Finished a second unit of MAA. This time I have printed them with blank shields this time so that I could add my own design. Still not sure what to do about the banner so I have left that in it’s base red at the moment.
April’s files dropped today so there will be archers and Pegasus knights incoming.
2nd unit of Men-at-arms
Moved onto a second unit of MAA. This time I have printed them with blank shields and added the design myself. I still haven’t decided what to do with the banner so it remains blank at the moment.
April’s files landed today so Pegasus knights and archers incoming.
I can be your hero baby!
Time to treat myself to a character after finishing some units.
Happy with this for 10mm but they are great sculps and that always helps.
Sir, the peasants are revolting!
Mainly painted with Citadel Contrast paints and they seem to work well on these as there is very little that is flat.
I love the variety on these and especially the lady who is armed with a rolling pin!
The Rules
Having missed out on Warmaster the first time around I was drawn to these new printable miniatures. Armed with a new Elegoo Mars 2 pro resin printer I decided to see what it could do. All is going great with the printing and painting so It’s time I tried to pick up the rules.
After a bit of googling, trying to find the original rules, for a sensible price, I found a free fan reboot called “Warmaster revolution”. The rules have been updated by the community mainly using the improvements that were made in Warmaster ancients. Also available is the up to date army lists. They are both free to download at https://www.wm-revolution.com/
There is also an online Army builder that covers all iterations of Warmaster including ancients at http://wm-selector.appspot.com/#/
Squires
Where would the knights be without their squires?
Painted using a selection of greens and browns, mostly contrast with some highlights and details on the horses.
Men-at-arms join their knights.
Got the 1st MAA unit completed. Not too happy with the banner. I may ho back and tidy it up at a later date. For now it’s “far from good but good from afar “.
Men-at-arms test strip
These little guys and galls are nearly all plate and blades. I haven’t painted over a metallic base before so I wanted to give it a try before committing to a lot of them.
After a white undercoat I completely airbrushed them in a gunmetal followed by a dry brush of silver then washed them with nuln oil. I then went and picked out flesh, shields and Joupons?, Tabbards? in white before painting.
I will probably be giving each separate unit their own scheme, blue and white for the 1st unit.
A couple of terrain pieces
I have been playing around with bits of terrain.
Both these hedges and walls are 3D versions of the A Song of Ice and Fire 2D terrain: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3679084
I reduced them both to 30% of the original size so that they have a 40mm width and was able to print multiples at a time in resin.
Painted with contrast paints for speed. The flock is made from sawdust and green clothes dyes.
