About the Project
It felt like the walk had taken weeks, but it was only three days ago Patch had left the others to walk across the Bone-Dry Barrens to find the Emberstrider Station trading post. Food was gone, there was only a couple of drops of water left in his bottle, and after the small skirmish with those outlaws yesterday, Patch only had 3 bullets left. - That trading post mush be here somewhere, patch thought to himself. Suddenly, behind a crest, small pillars of smoke rose to the sky, and patch could see the rooftop of the guard tower. - Finally, Patch said. He grabbed his water bottle and let the last drops of water moisten his dry lips. Finally we can get some supplies. // This is a TerrainFest 2023 build, building the Emberstrider Station Trading post. I will build new terrain for a previously built gaming table, rebuild some old stuff, adding smaller details, and just giving it a complete makeover. aiming for a 4'x4' table with about 50%+ terrain coverage. What the table is currently lacking is area terrain, so there will be a focus on that i think. I hope you will enjoy this, and of course, good luck and happy building to everyone else participating. // COG

Emberstride station, week 2
This week i mainly painted the houses, and built bases for them.
added some hills to the bases to break up the square look everything has.
next week, its scatter terrain, bazaar stands.

Emberstride Station, week 1.
Emberstride Station, week 1
So the aim for this project is to build a 4×4 foot table, roughly 8 buildings, and scatter terrain.
The buildings are in a rural Afghanistan style, so small and square, elevation changes on the ground, small walls, stairs to get up on the roof.
Currently I have 5 buildings started, far from finished.
Planning to have the buildings pretty plain, and do the scatter terrain in a more post-apocalyoptic/futuristic style. This is so I can reuse the buildings for a 1980s Russia/Afghanistan war by more or less changing out the scatter terrain/details. This is not within this project.
I also started making some of the scatter terrain, thus far 10 oil drums, and some pots and pans for the bazaar/sales stands.
