Boardgame Bonanza

About the Project
My second project of the year will be focused on getting my boardgames ready for the table. Hopefully this will spur me on to complete and play a bunch more games this year, as I generally do not like to start playing a game before everything is painted and ready. It will be mainly focused on games with miniatures, but some non-miniature games might slip in as well. Just like my other project I will mainly be using contrast style paints. 3D printing will also be utilised throughout the project.

Stuffed Fables part. 4 - Oh, Brother!
The fourth and last entry of the Stuffed Fables part of the project!
I managed to complete the content of the expansion Oh, Brother! as well as print out an insert that fits the content of both boxes into a single box. Gotta love efficiency!
Bonus points to the person who can spot the inspiration for the Hugglers.
Now, onwards to the next game in the pile of shame!
Stuffed Fables part. 3 - Minions and first game!
The minions are now done as well and with it everything from the base game has been completed.
Making the bases for the minions were a bit more involved than with the rest.
The reason being that they have very specific shapes that they have to be on because of game mechanics. So I went about to create them myself in 3D builder.
I started by making the basic shapes of the bases and then, in order to have them match the rest, I used base toppers from the same set as the other bases. I brought the base toppers into 3D building, cut them into shape and then merged them with the basic shapes I had made and just like that I had custom bases in the same shapes as the default ones, that matched the rest of the bases I had used.
With everything now being completed me and my SO started our adventure in the world of Stuffed Fables!
The next step in this project will be to tackle the miniatures in the expansion “Oh, Brother!” and to 3D print an insert for the game to get everything organized.
Stuffed Fables part. 2 - Bosses
For the second part of the project I present to you the completed boss miniatures.
Again, these were hacked of off their bases and the same type of base were used as for the heroes. The next step will be the minions!
Stuffed Fables part. 1 - Heroes
To start off with we got a group of fluffy adventurers for Stuffed Fables.
I didn’t want to leave them on the generic flat bases that they come with out of the box, so I busted out the hobby saw and started removing miniatures from bases. This was fairly easy to do as the platic is fairly soft, however, some blood was shed in the process. Blood for the blood god and all that!
For the heroes I ended up going with these 3D printed bases:
3D Printable Wood Floor Bases (New) by Sync Ratio Systems
I think the simple wood floor fit the theme of the game well and I also ended up adding some basing bits to add some detail to some of them.
Plaid Hat Games, the publisher of Stuffed Fables also made a coloring book featuring the heroes in the game which added two new characters. The miniatures for these were 3D printed and I found some pre-colored cards online of them which I printed out and laminated.
The miniatures I used to represent these are:
