Spectre Miniatures has introduced some fun new miniatures for the Halloween season! Dive into some zombie battles with Spectre: Outbreak and an excellent selection of new 28mm scale figures for you to use when battling the undead!

Outbreak Survivors - Spectre Miniatures

Outbreak Survivors // Spectre Miniatures

First up, we have an excellent set of Survivors who you can use to represent your main characters in your games of Spectre: Outbreak. There is a Retired State trooper who comes armed with a Browning Auto-5. Old but reliable. Alongside him, you also have the White Collar Worker who has grabbed a Baseball Bat (good for cracking skulls) and a Browning Hi-Power.

Alongside both of them, you can also pick up a Young Woman who has found themselves a .45 Revolver and a Fire Axe, should all of the rounds get expended. She might be great and those six bullets equal six headshots! Lastly, you've got another Young Woman who has stepped out of a party and now finds herself looking very good whilst taking names. She is armed with a classic Shotgun, which we all know is perfect for blasting away the undead.

Perhaps sent to aid those Survivors, you can also get a set of Task Force Survivors who bring their expertise to this undead slaughterfest.

Each of these Operators is a Specialist with a range of different weapons, perfectly attuned for blasting away the undead. Two of them carry M4s with silencers on them (good for keeping the zombies at bay). They also have underbarrel grenade launchers for when they need to go loud and the situation calls for an explosive exit.

The Marksman carries an EBR and MP5, which allows the team to deal with enemies from a distance. You also have the Support Gunner carrying an Mk48, which is perfect for horde clearance. Lastly, you have the Team Leader with a prototype AA12 Automatic Shotgun, a drum-fed gun which can blast away the hordes with ease, especially when in close quarters.

An excellent team of specialists, honed to deal with the zombie hordes with ease.

You can't have a game of zombie murder without some zombies and that's where the big Zombie horde set comes in from Spectre.

Zombies - Spectre Miniatures

However your zombies might have been created, this set gives you twelve of them to use in your games of Spectre: Outbreak. They are of a range of shapes and sizes, which is perfect for getting across the look of a horde of civilians turned into brain-hungry killers. I love the poses and when these are all assembled together, it should make for a fun painting project!

Some soldiers weren't so lucky when the infection started to spread and so you can also get this set of Task Force Zombies.

As the entry on the webstore states, all of the body armour and training in the world couldn't stop them from being overwhelmed once the ammo ran dry. Stick these into the mix to add some variety to your zombie horde or as more significant threats that can take a few shots thanks to their armour.

With all of the new miniatures, you'll want some rules for playing Spectre: Outbreak!

Spectre: Outbreak // Spectre Miniatures

The core mechanics of Spectre Operations remain but with a few tweaks to enhance the fear when diving into games with a zombie twist. Inside, you'll find...

  • Core Undead Rules: Full profiles for Zombies, their movement, assault, infection, and reanimation.
  • Hunger & Escalation Mechanics: A dynamic threat system fuelled by noise, casualties, and panic.
  • Civilian Survivors: Scavengers, panicked crowds, and unpredictable NPC behaviour for co-op and solo play.
  • Automated Zombie Behaviour: Complete flowchart rules for solo or two-player games; no dedicated Zombie player required.
  • Environmental Events: Random battlefield conditions bring unpredictability and dread to every turn.

An excellent set of fun rules for people seeking to play out a different style of zombie game on the tabletop. I like that it includes the rules for running the zombies so you can enjoy this game cooperatively with friends, especially over the Halloween period.

All of the elements you see here are available physically OR digitally, so you could get your 3D printer going right now and start getting ready for a spooky weekend later this week.
