The Weekender: A Week Of Gaming & Win A Copy Of X-Com!

Well last weekend was pretty crazy and now we're back for another Weekender where we talk about the new expansion games to the Level 7 Universe from Privateer Press and the Serpent & The Wolf for Spartacus.
As well as that we talk about the upcoming Iron Kingdoms RPG Sourcebook that is bound to have players of Warmahordes chomping at the bit and the news that Warhammer 40,000 is taking to the world of MMORPGS with Eternal Crusade!
It also seems like we might have something special on the horizon for the world of Incursion.
We also have an awesome competition in conjunction with 2k Games where we'll be giving away 10 copies of X-Com: Enemy Unknown! All you have to do is comment below on Beasts of War or Youtube with suggestions of games you'd like to play with us online!

Would like to see a skulls of the shogun battle royale
Street Fighter 4 or mortal kombat. The shorter rounds mean many more people from beasts of war can join in and play and there can be a beasts of war fighting champion in a ladder competition.
Could it be something from Gears of War series? Or maybe something from the latest games – Fuse?!
You should absolutely get in some rounds of “Injustice: Gods Among Us”, because having your opponent eaten by a shark just can’t be bettered…
I would like to see the Metro: last light or maybe Counter Strike. Honestly the only games I wouldn’t really care for is CoD.

Hey guys nice show! glad to hear more stuff about the iron kingdoms! just a minor gripe (and it is a minor one) Ive noticed over the past few weeks there have been some reveals/news about video games. Dont get me wrong I LOVE video games, but there are already a lot of sites like gamespot and what not that do a ton of stuff on video games, but apart from miniwargaming and you guys I dont really know anyone else with a wargaming focus. Maybe that few minute segment out of your 20 minute video would have been better used to talk about the beginnings of malifaux mk2? or the new eldar supplement? Or heck about the Chapterhouse vs GW trial that just finished?
Either way please dont take this as a bashing, I love this site and have been on it daily for years now (even before the ‘how to roll like an ultramarine’ vid) but I would prefer to see info on wargames

You should start a BOW Minecraft server and get all the games companies to build theme areas for a laugh. All the backstagers should build their own castles/kingdoms as well. I reckon Templars would love to build a zone…and Berry towers perhaps?! Maybe start off like that inviting gaming celebs to build something. Could add a new one each week. Warren could build his Nacht Wolfen HQ. That would be sooo coool! Some guys have already made Orthanc and a steam punk city. Yogscast are currently building Erebor…..
you could build a dreadball arena and get 20 of us to log on and have a game….
Good call on the ps3 over the 360 Justin I agree completely. As for the free games, while I don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth, I would prefer miniature as prizes from a miniature wargames show.

Rome II total war or Shogun II total war those games require you to think and use strategy. They are lots of fun.

I would say world of tanks would be a good one for starters, such a huge game, and you could even start up a clan of BOWers which would be cool (i would join).
Other games i would like you to see would be company of heroes 2, (when it comes out), Rome II (when it comes out) and possibly, if you were to just do a live single player stream something like FTL (simply as it is quick to pick up and to play, and very difficult to master), of just the classic DOW Retribution. I think lots of people would want to see you play them

I’m interested in the upcoming Incursion Kickstarter. I have the original but still haven’t played a game. Some nice new plastic sculpts would be cool.
I’d say play Space Marine on XBL, get the Dreadnought DLC as well.

Space Marine, that or Halo 4, really anything even remotely science fiction will do, Borderlands is another good choice.
Halo of Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013/2014 seems appropriate for starting with, unfortunately a lot of the good stuff for Space Marine was taken down or that would have been the perfect choice.
Quick correction guys. For Iron Kingdoms, the information on crime and punishments was released in Urban Adventures already.
I don’t know much about X-Box but if you can play X-Com on it, that’s what I’d like to see.
It would be great to see you playing X-Com. A favourite of mine but we all know it’s SHADO really.
