Bolt Action is my new craze 🙂
Minis games I’d like to see some coverage of God of Battles, Kensei, Dystopian Legions, and WarGods of Aegyptus/Olympus. A Feast of Games featuring Super Dungeon Explore would be interesting too.
Got some models but not had a game yet
Definitely looking forward to the DZC and boardgame coverage. Would also love to see more historicals particularly the Warlord rulesets. Other than that there’s all sort of small games out there that interest me Kensei in particular looks is very intriguing, it’s a Japanese fantasy mass battle system.
I would like to see a real deep look in the new stuffs coming for Malifaux (rules, models …) …
BTW, you’re doing great 😀
Great vid.
Not a game but I would like to see coverage on terrain tips, such as what you can do with a can of baked beans, a yoghurt pot and a tub of margarine
Great stuff. I’m getting excited to see my Empire of the Dead Kickstarter rewards which should be out in September. Can we see coverage of other Kickstarter games and how they turned out? Also, I’d love to see a tour of the Essex office / TTN.
One more vote for Kensei.
I would like to see a few game-play vids of the Iron Kingdoms rpg, I know it isnt wargaming, but It would be cool to see that in action.
Kensei, relic bolt action. Love that stuf. On board games. I recently purchased spartacus due to the review justin made. I only olay some boardgames with me neigbours. My friends are more ikto 40k, but i moved on.
I would like to see a game of (but I know you’ve done them already but) 40k/FOW/bolt action as long as the people playing it a passionate about it also stuff that’s not main stream, say something like ask the jolly folk at bow to host there passion and great show as always
I would like to see more Malifaux.
I would like to see more games like Saga, Muskets & Tomahawks, or maybe By Fire and Sword?
I agree, saga and muskets & tomahawks
I’d love to see more Deadzone and DUST Tactics coverage!
I wonder if there is a place for the more common mass produced games with models, like Axis and Allies, etc? Something like taking a look at the likes of Milton Bradley, etc al. took table top miniatures more or less main stream. eh.
If not that, then I would be really interested in quality naval battle game with miniatures. You could theme and entire week on all the varies naval battle games out there, that are not only plastics, but also the card deck based ones. My two pfennings.
How about a series on alternative models for different games? stuff like alternative sci fi humans to use in place of Cadians or different manufacturers of humans for fantasy
Would love to see some more Malifaux, especially if you coincide that with the new M2E.. and I would love to see you work with Prodos to do a short demo game of Warzone Resurrection once the starter boxes are ready to go.
Also I’m seconding what redben said about Super Dungeon Explore. It’s a great game that I often reach for when I haven’t had enough time to prepare for my Star Wars RPG campaign and it would be perfect for feat of games.
I would love to see more Dust Warfare coverage!
Hopefully with Battlefront as publisher, the AU prices will get fixed. Fantasty Flight don’t only use GW’s IP, they use their pricing systems as well!
Love to see more Bolt Action, is there a “learn to play DZC” already up? I’ll look for it after I post this, but consider this a request otherwise.
I’d love some more 40k stuff! I’d be interested to hear your opinions on supplements in 40K, etc 🙂
Also, Zone Mortalis – have a look at it!
I would like to see some more:
malifaux stuff (probably more once 2.0 is released)
Dropzone commander (looks like this is covered)
Some board games would be good too
Zombies!!! or Zombiecide would be cool to see.
Another game I would see covered would be Batman Miniature Game by Knight Models …
The minis are just awesome and the system looks OK …
Hope to see lots of Malifaux stuff when 2nd edition comes out. More Bolt Action and FoW.
Warren, you should check out Muskets&Tomahawks. Since you seemed to really love the random activation sequence from Bolt Action, M&T uses a similar idea but with cards. But you shuffle in 3 event cards along with your troop types, and when all 3 come out the turn ends, whether you’ve used all your army or not. Adds a nice bit of uncertainty to the turns. If I pick up, or maybe win;) Bolt Action, i think i might house rule it, and add 3 dice to the bag and see if it works as nicely as it does in M&T.
Saga, Malifaux 2nd edition (when the rules are fully released), Kensi. Love the coverage of games I’ve never played before
Assault on Normandy, that would be cool.
for a game to bee seen … hmm
Would be cool to see Rivet wars when it comes out,
also Xwing with the new ships … maybe see some 3D asteroids with that ;D
Dust tactics would be nice, and I hear Battletech has come out with some new mini’s from Catalyst Games.
I think more short intro vids that explain how the different game systems work. A lot of companies have some great lines in models but as we do not have a local store that stocks a wide range I am not inclined to blind buy a system on the internet so I tend to stick to PP GW Warlord and Infinity.
i wod like if you look at gods of egyptology game
guys, after that AMAZBALL coverage of Flames of War, I finally signed for the Backstage.
I really loved what you guys did with the narrative game for Nam war. I think more quick introduction like that on various games would be awesome. Top of my head drop zone commander ^^
well done!
Operation Squad is also a pretty cool and unusual system and maybe also do something with any of the games from 2 Hour Wargames?
Things I’d like to see more of:
– Bolt Action
– Saga
– not a game but vids about weathering techniques (I’ve yet to paint a tank since Epic in the 90s but there’s a Cromwell waiting for me at the sorting office and I want to do it justice).
The Sparticus board game videos were good. I’d like to see more on games like that. (Battlestar Galactica). I’m currently watching all the series o net flix
You have already said your looking into Saga so I’m looking forward to that. Muskets and Tomahawks is on my short list of games to play. I tried a demo at Salute and liked it a lot. So if you created some interest you may get me some opponents 🙂
Bushido would make a good feature, A small skirmish game with some really nice sculpts. Romain could do some tutorials and Warren could dress up as a Ninja.
Carnevale week was one of my favourites and I see they are doing another kickstarter. So a revisit to canals of Venice would be of great interest.
Empire of the dead seems to have slipped right off the radar, well mine anyway, I really liked the look of this but ended up doing nothing about it.
I think you touched on terrain and modelling. I agree some articles on this subject would be of great interest, from the real basics up.
The road trip to Warlord was great so more away days to events would be cool.
I might have to start getting into bolt action. I know a couple of my friends that aren’t war gamers that I might convert with ww2 minis.
I absolutely can’t wait to see some Deadzone coverage. Malifaux would be fantastic as well!
I recommend Baueda’s WW2 skirmish game- 1:48 combat/tactics.
The game is fast playing but tactical, small set-up time and short play time – ideal for a quick but “realistic” squad level game when there isn’t time to play a game for a few hours.
would love another carnevale week, but would also like to see more skirmishy games like these such as Bushido, Mantic’s deadzone (when it comes out) and even more Bolt action!!!
Fire Caste from Dark Age looks amazing. How about some Dark Age coverage?
I’d like to see some more board games being played. The feast of games was great and would love to see more like that. I’m definitely another +1 to redben’s suggestion of super dungeon explore.
Also I would like to see some more table top games being played. Less main stream ones like infinity, bolt action, Malifaux, kensei, etc. It’s great to see the under dogs getting some spotlight treatment. Everyone knows GW games already, but the smaller games can be just as good if not better(some have amazing models), so due to the fact fewer people play them there is a reluctance to pick up another game without knowing a great deal. Some exposure to these smaller games would be great.
I’d like to see some more coverage of any of the Spartan Games systems. At my local club Dystopian Wars has really taken off and Firestorm Armada is fairly popular.
Great show guys, would love to see more coverage of black powder
Some real Saga vids would be nice, maybe send @warzan on a roadtrip to Gripping Beast in Evsham
A friend and I both picked up a copy of In Her Majesty’ s Name with a view to using whatever we have by way of figurers. He has cowboys while I have the Monto walking socioty.
However we find the rules confusing an difficult to grasp.
Could you please, please do an instructional vid on
In her majasty,s name by Osprey
i would definatly like to see more hail caesar content just started recently buying cheap romans at 1/72 scale.
Enjoying bushido so that’s my vote.
Great fun vid as usual. How about Force on Force would like to see how that work they do a Vietnam version I think
Great to hear that there will be more coverage of Dust – that’s something I really want to see. It’d be great to see a focus on Warfare, rather than Tactics (from a personal point of view), as that’s the version for ‘real’ wargamers. With Battlefront at the helm (or at least navigating) this game should go from strength the strength.
To anyone that has thought about trying it out, have a go – it’s a lot of fun 🙂
Again brilliant show, what do I want to see moving forward?
Well this is going to sound obvious but I definately want to see continued coverage of Warhammer & Warhammer40k
In last weeks show there was a mention of going through some of the Fantasy Lore, delving into it and I really LOVE that idea.
Dust is a game that looks good as does the new Batman & Dredd games but as Warhammer is what brought me here thats what Id like to see.
Hi guys,
At the mo, I’ve put aside my Warhammer fantasy and I’m
trying to do a M*A*S*H up with Bolt Action and the squad level
scenarios provided in the old Squad Leader board game from Avalon Hill.
Its kinda ‘Gaming in the Gap’, but as SL was squad based with a couple
of AFVs thrown in, its a good match. So more Bolt Action please of course,
but mainly MORE battle videos, of any sort. Loved the feast of games feature,
but I sub to The Dice Tower, for great board games and especially ones I can play
with my 4 year old. Keep up the great work, I can proudly say…Nam week, I was there!
Would be good to see Carnevale, Dystopian Wars, Dropzone Commander and Malifaux getting the kind of coverage Bolt Action, FOW and Dreadball have been getting as I find it really helps you get into and learn a system.
As I said in the thread in the forum, Saga seems to be something that makes a very good intro to historical gaming and is gaining popularity quite quickly so would be a great game to focus on for that reason.
For me, the warlord stuff, either Hail Caesar, Black Powder or Pike and Shotte would be welcome, they all make sense from a ‘easy for newcomers to the historical genre’ point of view, but for me, I like that the rules are based around warmaster, which was in my opinion the best ruleset ever to come from GW , and I like Rick Priestley’s sense of humour , which shines through the rulebooks of the first two in spades (I’ve never played the last one so cant say if it’s the same).
Plus, Hail Caesar means Spartans. You can never have enough Spartans.
Wargods of Olympus 🙂
More coverage of Bolt Action especially the Russians and the minor Axis and Allies powers.
I would also like to see the Black Powder sets featured as the French and Indian war looks very interesting.
Some of Tor’s Relic and I’d like to see a bit of Empire of the Dead.
I would love to see some coverage of Black Powder, Saga, Force on Force and maybe some Rpg coverage like the new Star Wars from FFG.
Been a 40K & WHFB player for over 20yrs now and never really got into historical gaming, but having watched the demo game videos of Bolt Action (several times over!) I was completely sold on it!
So for me, more Bolt Action stuff please – looking at the different armies, army lists etc
Awesome vid, I would love to see some in depth look at Malifaux, especially with the new rules set. 🙂
Got to add another vote for saga. Great system, plus loads of people making home brew add ons too. The game of thrones one in particular gives me a hobby woody.
I really enjoyed the Bolt Action coverage, it looks like a great system which I am certainly going to investigate further. The coverage of some non sci-fi/fantasy has been refreshing for a change – some more would be good (I hear Fireball Forward is interesting) – but my main interest atm is leaning heavily towards skirmish level games.
I know I am spoilt with the MERCS and Infinity weeks, but it would be interesting to see some more games, even if it is a short demo game rather than the full week promo (though they are generally great).
Anyway, keep up the good work (and make sure there are more Designer Studio’s – they are top).
I’m a bit excited about the Normandy box, I’m loving the vids boys! Just watching them a few months back got me right back into the hobby!
I’d like to see SAGA, Force on Force, Chain of Command (when it comes out) and X Wing 🙂
The Modelmates products are fantastic, I picked some up at Salute after seeing how great and easy they were to use. Their rust effects in particular I would recommend to everyone, it looks ultra realistic and can be done in a matter of seconds compared to many minutes trying to paint it on. Another bonus being they’re water soluble so can just be wiped off with a wet brush if you’re not happy with it.
Great start to that video, got funny looks from the other half as I’m on the lappy with headphones on!
I’d love to see some Zombicide coverage, looking forward to seeing Season 2 and the Toxic Mall expansion, but I’d also like to see what you guys make of it.
I’d love more Bolt Action and Saga coverage, same as most people I think. Pick a war from before 1900 and the other Warlord rulesets will probably let you recreate it so plenty of scope for videos there (Do you still have the Horns of the Buffalo Zulu box or did Darryl get to keep it?). Smaller skirmish type games like Empire of the Dead or Dead Mans Hand would be nice too. Also Mantic are finishing their Kings of War summer, you could get them in to show how far the game/range has evolved over the 3-4years its been out.
Would love to see more live gaming videos with the mini cam! That session on Bolt Action was worth the monthly subscription alone! Plus it pulled me into purchased the Bolt Action rulebooks and army books for the Germans, Americans, and Soviets….though I don’t have any of their 28m minis yet ;o)
Tell Warlord Games ot please put up a Kickstarter with all new starter boxes!
I’ve really enjoyed your Flames of War FTW and Nam week, it’s been the best videos into this game I’ve seen.
For me I would like to see more Bolt Action, again your intro to the game was spot on.
I would also like to see Saga being played as it does combime a boardgame with miniatures on the tabletop, this could be a great game for your feast of games videos.
I’ve recently just bought the Force on Force rulebook and i can see that it has potential for some great games, so that could also be very interesting to see.
Too be fair the FoW coverage is really really enjoyable, and has some good scope. As really from what I have seen, FoW Nam plays a lot different from FoW WW2, in some ways two seperate games.
With the up coming six-day war addition to FoW, it is only going to get better, so would like the coverage to continue at a pace.
Bolt Action coverage I really hope also to continue as that looks like a game that has a lot of ebb and flow and fun:).
Saga have heard that it is a good game so would like to see that, but X-wing I think must be a must for some coverage ;).
Loved Nam week and the recent Bolt Action stuff. I would love to see some more items on Spartan games stuff Dystopian Legions in particular.
I’d definitely like more Bolt Action coverage. I love the chaos mechanic of randomly picking out the order dice. Looking forward to more Dreadball and Infinity as well. Stay classy guys (oo)b
Oh, and board game coverage. Little segments on new stuff, and even old stuff like Space Hulk. I’ve even SEEN what that game looks like, in motion or otherwise. Have played the Death Angel card game inspired by Space Hulk. Tons of fun.
Great show as always guys, would like to see ‘All Quiet On The Martian Front’. Kickstarter was successful and it’s coming in December, would be great if you could get A. Cavatore in to talk about it. And more Bolt action!
I’d like to see more videos of games actually been played, the recent bolt action videos encouraged me to go out ant buy the game
Just seen the unboxing DZC starter set, which looks fantastic, now I would like to see the game being played. I liked the unboxing of Open Fire (FoW) which was also a very good starter set, but it was seeing how the game was played in FoW FTW that really sold it to me.
Really no matter how good the starter sets are and these last two are very good, for introducing new players to their game and the hobby. It is seeing how the game plays, that really tells you to go and buy them. You may not live near a gaming club where it is possible that you could see other games being played, if other people have them.
This is where BoW comes in, I do think that it is what BoW has done really well especially of late, with the likes of Mercs, Infinity, FoW (WW2/ToD), Dreadball, and Bolt Action, etc.
Thanks guys
I’d like to see some more historical stuff, maybe Pike and Shotte from Warlord
good vid and great prize!!!
For a good whitewash effect I’ve found that spraying white and then sponging on the ‘original’ colour works very well (particularly for FOW T34s).
Do you ever look back at games? I’m a huge fan of Necromunda, Mordhiem and Epic Armageddon and still play them frequently. As you may know, since GW stopped updating these games and rules, many fan sites have popped up creating and editting rules. In the case of Epic these have become the ‘official’ tournament rules within the UK.
I like to see some more of Dystopian Wars. Mind you a bit more on Maulifax would be great, but I’m seeing around the FLGS’s a resurgence into this game. The price point and the cool mini’s allow it to be the perfect secondary game (or primary once you get your mits into it!).
I’d like to see coverage on Dark Age. No, wait, I don’t want to see it. Since I started watching BoW, I’ve picked up Bolt Action and Infinity already.
Jumping forward a bit but watching this back I miss stuart on the weekenders i thought he was ace!
