Games Workshop has dropped some more reveals for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team. The Necrons are going to be getting a rather awesome update for the C'tan Shard of the Nightbringer, a classic miniature reinvented.

This brand-new plastic miniature is a big (literally) update on the classic miniature from way back in 2002. He comes with his reaping scythe and the necrodermis cape billowing out behind him. Beneath him, he has a swarm of scarabs following in his wake and this extra elevation ends up making the Nightbringer match up to even the Shard of the Void Dragon.

The Nightbringer will come with a brand new datasheet sometime in 2026. With the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 most likely landing next year, this could mean that we just get a PDF download or the Necrons could end up being one of the first new Codexes for the new edition.

The Nightbringer will also be the endpoint for the new Kill Team: Tomb World boxed set, which will be up for pre-order soon. With the new storyline not even started, Games Workshop has had to do a bit of quick thinking with the coverage of the new miniature and previews for it. However, this miniature will be used as a non-playable "boss" operative in the final moments of that particular Kill Team narrative, which will start with the Deathwatch and the Necrons.

Do you like the look of the new Nightbringer for the Necrons?
