Grab New Warhammer Celebration Miniature Very Soon
July 25, 2025 by brennon
Games Workshop are celebrating 500 Warhammer stores across North America and Europe, plus thirty years of Warhammer in Australia, with a special miniature in the form of Captain Centos coming out on the 9th August 2025.
Captain Centos // Warhammer 40,000
If you'd like to get your hands on Captain Centos, based on a classic Space Marine who has been presented in various iterations over the years, he will be available exclusively in Warhammer stores. He is now back, having crossed the Rubicon Primaris, and looks ready to join the ranks of the Ultramarines or whatever Chapter you deem him worthy of.
Captain Centos - Details // Warhammer 40,000
A decent miniature packed with details and he could well be a good way for you to tinker around and personalise your Space Marine force. He even comes with an old-school Space Marine helmet, so you know his pedigree!
Eager Warhammer fans will also be able to get a Collector's Pin Badge (for free) and a Commemorative Coin if they spend over £60 of the local equivalent. These are only available while stocks last. If you'd like to know where your local store is so you can make sure you get Captain Centos, you can find out more HERE.
Do you like the new miniature? Will you be scouting it out yourself in the next couple of weeks?

Man, that Canadian accent of yours is getting really hard to understand. :-p
Watch out for that powerfist, it’s hazardous!
Does anyone remember when celebratory miniatures were actually cool and original? Like the Rogue Trader Crimson Fists captain? Or the second edition box art Blood Angels captain? Things that had a sort of collective meaning to everyone. Nowadays everything just seems to be very generic.
wider appeal and usability for a generic captain rather than limiting it to a single chapter
I am inclined to disagree. A model that looks like a piece of classic artwork has appeal to most fans, regardless of what army they may collect. It is a celebration of the hobby and the history and its utility really isn’t a consideration.
A generic space marine, with all of its “utility” has appeal only those who can utilise it.
I used those two space marine captains as an example. But there are others. “Christopher Columbo”, an Imperial Explorer. Gregor Eisenhorne. Gaunts Ghosts. “Harry the Hammer”. Slambo. All of these had references to black library characters or nostalgic artwork. They celebrated something that everyone could share.
Damn, seeing that Mk VII helmet in the thumbnail got me excited that GW might have actually released a new Trueborn outside of the HH line, which would actually be something of a novelty. Just another Primaris character, *sigh*.
You would think GW would be bored of a) Ultramarine paint job on every mini; b) foot on rock pose 😛
A fantastic looking figure as a commander
