A new Warhammer 40,000 preview popped up this week for the forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Scour the heretic from the galaxy with a very fanatical new character for the Adeptus Mechanicus and her deadly bodyguard.

Thulia Ghuld - Warhammer 40K

Thulia Ghuld // Warhammer 40,000

Leading the way, we have Thulia Ghuld, a member of the Ordo Reductor. She is part of a subcult that views the Omnissiah as an avatar of destruction and so she practises what she preaches. Every fibre of her being is dedicated to the destruction of the heretic in its many forms and she has changed and adapted her body in order to achieve those ends.

She believes mewling diplomats like Belisarius Cawl are wasting their time and resources when they could simply be blowing the heretic to pieces! At the same time, Cawl would say that Ghuld wastes her time simply destroying everything she sees instead of learning about what knowledge it possesses.

The miniature is awesome and represents a towering avatar of destruction. She has been thoroughly adapted and upgraded to become a formidable weapon of war.

Heavy Weapon Hastarii

The eradication of the heretic can be perfected with the addition of the new Hastarii to the ranks of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Hastarii - Warhammer 40K

Hastarii // Warhammer 40,000

The Hastarii bring heavy firepower to the battlefield with specially modified cyborg bodies that allow them to carry these weapons. The right arms have been replaced with gun mounts linked into their cortical circuits and they carry backpack generators so they can blast away to their heart's content.

The Hastarii Exterminators carry eradication casters, which act as atomising "flamethrowers" at close range. The Hastarii Fusiliers, on the other hand, carry weapons capable ot piercing vehicle armour and scrambling them from the inside.

Again, these miniatures look great and it's neat to see more for the Adeptus Mechanicus and Warhammer 40,000 in general, even though all the Codexes are out and 11th Edition is waiting in the wings. Man-portable heavy weapons are a good idea, especially when larger walkers or vehicles would simply be lumbering targets.

What do you think of these new miniatures?

"She is part of a subcult that views the Omnissiah as an avatar of destruction and so she practises what she preaches...."
