Pre-Order Gorgeous New Frozen & Forgotten Set For Warmachine

August 13, 2025 by brennon

Steamforged Games are now taking pre-orders for a brand new two-player Command Cadre set for their 35mm scale Fantasy skirmish game, Warmachine. Frozen & Forgotten comes with two brand new sets of plastic miniatures for House Kallyss and Orgoth Sea Raiders!

Lanyssa Ryssyl - Warmachine

Lanyssa Ryssyl // Warmachine

On the one side of the conflict, you have the Dusk Final Hunt led by Lanyssa Ryssyl (above). She leads the Nyss Hunters of the Shard Spires, roaming the peaks and hunting down interlopers. She commands these legendary warriors, driven by vengeance after the decimation of her people. She now eagerly hunts down the servants of Everblight and happens to look super badass whilst doing so.

She is joined by Cylena Raefyll (below), a solo skirmisher who is as driven by grief as her Warlock commander.

Cylena Raefyll - Warmachine

Cylena Raefyll // Warmachine

She is the master of bow and blade, using her skills to stalk into position and ambush her foes silently. I was always taken by the look of Dusk in this new edition of Warmachine and I think that this new set in plastic might just be enough to tip me over the edge and drag me into picking up some of these miniatures. I love the look of these moody elves!

Every good hunter needs a beast to stalk alongside them and Lanyssa is lucky enough to have too such creatures that she can all on in battle.

Sasha - Warmachine

Benkei - Warmachine

Benkei // Warmachine

Sasha acts as the scalpel, focusing on a particular target and removing them from the equation with a well-timed pounce. By comparison, Benkei is less focused and is all muscles, teeth and fury! Benkei acts as a battering ram, allowing you a way to force your way through the enemy lines so the rest of the Dusk warriors can strike.

Both of these miniatures are gorgeous and act as Character Warbeasts in your Dusk Final Hunt force. Folks are definitely going to have some fun painting the fur and markings on these big, cuddly killers.

Last but not least, we have (rather fittingly) the Last Watch.

Last Watch - Warmachine

Last Watch // Warmachine

How cool are they?! The Ryssovass were once the shield of Nyss and when they failed in their duty, their people were decimated. Despite their sorrow, the Last Watch continues to fight on, led by Than Aelyth Vyr, the Blade of Nyssor. He has pledged his greatsword and those of his kin to Lanyssa Ryssyl and now they follow her into battle against impossible odds.

These miniatures are absolutely stunning. I love their poses, the armour design, the solemn expressions and that utter badass in the helmet with the hood over the top! This Character Unit was the set of figures that completely sold me on this boxed set.

Dusk Final Hunt Command Cadre - Warmachine

Dusk Final Hunt - Command Cadre // Warmachine

This is a pre-made, thirty-point force that has been designed so you can dive right into games of Warmachine and get playing with a handful of miniatures. A stunning alternative to some of the preexisting House Kallyss that take the faction in a different direction aesthetically.

Orgoth Graveborn

That's not all you get in this new Command Cadre boxed set. If you picked up Dusk Final Hunt, then your friend will be taking on the role of the Orgoth Graveborn.

Anathia The Imperishable Desolation - Warmachine

Anathia, The Imperishable Desolation // Warmachine

This set represents Orgoth as they once were, sealed away and entombed for centuries by their warlord. Now, with the second coming of Orgoth, they have been roused from their tombs and march to war clad in the ancient armour and with glowing, malefic weapons in their hands. They are led by Anathia, who once commanded the forces of Orgoth back during their first invasion.

She has now risen again from her slumber as a Warlock, bidden to fight for the Orgoth Sea Raiders. She is a master of fell magic that can strip the strength from her enemies and aid her allies to land killing blows. She can even lash her foes and drag them towards her undying legions so they can lay them out on the battlefield.

She is backed up by the towering Revenant Champion, one of the mightiest warriors of the olden days, now summoned to fight once more with their enchanted weapons.

Revenant Champion - Warmachine

Revenant Champion // Warmachine

This whole set is so perfectly "Fantasy", which I love. Warmachine and the world of Immoren is distinctly Steampunk, with all of its gizmos and whizzbangs, but I like that with this particular set, Steamforged has gone back to the Fantasy elements that made Hordes so alluring to so many folks.

As well as the Revenant Champion, you can also get the Barrow Ghoul with your Orgoth Graveborn.

Barrow Ghoul - Warmachine

Barrow Ghoul // Warmachine

A construct of iron and death, given life by infernal magic, the Barrow Ghoul represents a dark avatar of the Outer Abyss. I love the archaic armour design that screams of some ritual site where the Barrow Ghoul towers over sacrifices at the bottom of some fathomless pit. It also boasts more skulls than your average Warhammer miniature! I am getting good Dark Souls/Elden Ring vibes from this fellow.

The bestest boy of the Orgoth Graveborn is also included in the set with the Charnel Hound.

Charnel Hound - Warmachine

Charnel Hound // Warmachine

Once one of the Argus Hounds, this hunter has been stripped to the bone, bound in chains and now cursed with an endless hunger, seeks the flesh of the living for its Orgoth masters. Another great miniature that harks back to the past of Warmachine in both design and lore.

Finally, we have The Execrators, the loyal followers of Anathia who carried her to her tomb and sealed themselves in with their mistress.

The Execrators - Warmachine

The Execrators // Warmachine

Duulgrim, Harrkreth and Vurgesh are loyal warriors who move with unnatural speed, cutting down their foes with their deadly weapons. Each kill is considered a tribute to Anathia and now, with the entirety of their unlife to reap and slay, they are going to be a force to be reckoned with!

Orgoth Graveborn Command Cadre - Warmachine

Orgoth Graveborn Command Cadre // Warmachine

As with the Dusk Command Cadre included in the set, this is a perfect starting point for Warmachine with a thirty-point army to get you going in the game. A very narratively thematic set and perfect for two players to get stuck in with. They should both be really fun painting projects, especially with all of that ancient armour on the Orgoth Graveborn.

As mentioned, they will have full rules for use with the Orgoth Sea Raiders and House Kallyss but if you wanted to just have this be your Warmachine experience, I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Could this be the set that gets you into Warmachine?
