Army Painter RuneWars Hobby Weekend Live Blog – Sunday
Daniel's Army
We take a look at Daniel's army and see how it has progressed over the past few days.
Things are powering on and we have some fantastic galleries to show off where we have plenty of interesting looking armies to get stuck into.

Basing really took that great paint job to the next level. It gives it a much more finished look. Nice work, Daniel.
I really like the muted palette on those skellies. The basing looks fantastic as well.
I agree with @petey9 the basing really set that off.
Nice paint on and nice bases.
That basing looks super realistic. Is that a mix of basing materials? It has a very mulch look, like it’s a blend of dirt, small rocks, decayed wood crumbles and leaf litter, the very thing you’d expect to see covering the ground of a wooded area. And it perfectly matches those earth tones on the skeletons. Instantly creates a backstory in my mind of these being the skeletal remains of wood elves raised up from the earth of the very forests they once protected. Really cool.
Great looking army. Basing is superb.
looking really good.
Very effective choice of colours! The army looks really spooky with the rust effects and dark tones. The basing really brings the force together as well. Nice job Daniel.
Looking very nice well done .
Great looking army. Paint work and basing look really good.
That army is REALLY good
Very nice.
Nice painting and nice bases.
Basing really makes the minis pop. Nice work
good looking army
I agree… super job on the basing. I was looking forward to seeing some work over top of the inks and quickshades, and this one is it. Nice highlighting on the cloaks, and even though it’s a bit dark and gritty, the skellies don’t look at all monochrome.
Again very nice looking force. The greens always seem to work well with the undead.
Jazz hands for the win ;D
Great paint job!
Jazz hands!
They are class looking minis my man…..that is game painting at its best in my opinion..

What an amazing job.

Very nice, Love the green. Also nice to see someone converted to AP’s system.
Basing looks great, I’d like a better look at the rust effect.
Thats a beautiful force of dead things
That green is excellent!!
Again looking good, especially for 3 days of work.
Great looking cloaks
Another cool army done in a weekend
great looking army and that basig just maekes it look even better. I like the greens he used.
Great looking minis and really nice work on the basing, well done mate!
The basing on them is great. I really like the armies that these guys are painting in the greens and purples.
Awesome looking mini’s
The colour work very well together and blend in with the bases, like they have risen from the ground!
Gorgeous!
Those last light green high lights added a nice pop.
nice
The minis look great. However, I’d try to slightly change the base color. It is too similar to the minis and that makes it difficult to distinguish the skeletons from the distance. Other than that, lovely army 🙂 Congratulations!
Really nice looking force, blows you away thinking they painted that in a weekend. I would like to see an army painter guide for dads with toddlers.
They look really amazing, and its like black magic to me that Daniel made it just in two days 😀
best pained army so far.
Wow, looks really nice, love the colors for you force.
Thats a great army
Nice looking army. Well done.
Nice
This army is amazing, I’ll say it again, I can’t believe the finish achieved here over the weekend. I think you guys have rigged this and got all the top painters in for the weekend…….I am actually just amazed every army featured have been good looking.
Love the look with the green cloaks and the bases look awesome.
That’s a great job right there, hats off to ya!
Very nice
Parts to based for an army in a weekend. That is amazing. Now in one’s normal life there would be chores and life to take care of, but it is still an impressive sight.
The army looks impressive, again for three days of work it’s great. Really inspiring.
awesome!
Great job Daniel, looks really good!
Those came out really nice. I really like the color scheme and basing too.
That’s a lot of brown
That green is very nice! Great army!
That is a slick highlight job on the capes. Very well done.
Seems the rust effecgt is getting a lot of call outs – will pick up a bottle at Salute
