Army Painter RuneWars Hobby Weekend Live Blog – Sunday
Boot Camp Round Up!
We finish off this weekend's Live Blog for our Hobby Weekend with a big thank you to the folks from Army Painter as they showed off how to paint up some awesome armies.
Here is a run down of some of the armies done by our Hobby Weekend attendees. Make sure to follow us in the future for more on RuneWars and beyond!

Just loved this weekend shame i couldn’t make it…but well donre lads…
Of course Lloyd isn’t done… that’s a ton of minis painted in one weekend.
Oh by the way..did Laura come out from under that table yet…???
I did eventually for food purposes!
what a great weekend! Would have loved to been there, but it does inspire me a great deal.
Sad to see this coming to an end. I really enjoyed all of the content. Would have enjoyed it more if I was there, but was still great to see all the live blogs. Thanks again!
It’s been a fantastic weekend,
I’ve picked up some tips & tricks I’ve never tried or even thought of trying, (I’ve even taken delivery of a nail buffer this afternoon so I can see if quickens up the time I have to take cleaning & prepping miniatures)
I too found myself ordering a nail buffer due to this weekend.
God job all! Got to get to one of these weekends soon.
It was a lot of fun following everyone’s progress.
Another great weekend to follow.
I’ll be going back to watch the longed videos this evening when the kids are in bed, but I at least managed to keep up with most of them this time.
Thanks BOW really enjoyed this weekend watching everyone enjoy themselves, many thanks….
Well guys if you would have painted faster and gotten something done then you could be in the round up. Slackers! 🙂

Awesome weekend, thanks to BOW, Army Painter, FFG and all people involved
Great weekend. Really neat to see all the different directions people have gone with the very same armies and figures.
This must have been an amazing weekend. It was fun just watching!
Really cool to see all the armies and the different schemes people came up with. It was very enjoyable to follow along at home I wish I could have been there.
Really enjoyed watching the hobby weekend. Completely different feel to the other boot camps and hopefully something we’ll see again in the future.
great looking armies 🙂
cool
What a cracking weekend.
Really enjoyed looking at all the different paint effects. It gives one much to consider in the future. Thanks would enjoy watching another Weekender like this.
Thanks for sharing, enjoyed it, have to find my own weekend to try the Army Painter method.
I might even finish some of my models now with this method.
A great weekend hope to see more like it!
I have really enjoyed watching this live blog and hobby weekend. Again, I really hope I get the opportunity to attend one in the future. Watching this has been a great accompaniment to my own painting this weekend. All of these armies look great!
Been a pleasure to watch as always guys! Many thanks!
Good Weekend, lots to take away from it
thank you for this bootcamp, tons of inspiration an new technices…thank you very much
A great weekend, the tutorials have been great and to see that many armies completed in such a short space of time – wow!
Armies came out so good. I wish you had them lit better in the video. I especially like the limestone golem and white horses. The one with the bright cloaks, really pops! Very nice to see the basing which does make the armies look so much better
Lots of nice looking armies!
Looks like it was another awesome weekend, hopefully the hobby weekend format will mix in with the bootcamps more often.
I am impressed… so many finished forces and all looking as spanking as a badgers nadgers ! Loving everyone’s interpretation of the forces and colours that have been applied. Well done folks ! I would still be trying to complete my first model. This army painter method seems to work really well !
Great blogs everyday and I am glad I did not turn off the closed captions for any of the videos especially when Justin was talking and it was changing Beasts of War tp Pizza of something else
@lancorz does and almost perfect Dylan Moran impression.

Very cool army , every one worked hard it looks like.
Love all the paint jobs. Awesome work.
thanks for the amazing coverage guys!
and so many different color schemes for those armys, i just love it
Great job by all the participants, they all look fantastic and all so different.
Great time had by all, just wish I could afford to go to an event.
Thank you to the BoW crew for allowing those of us who couldn’t attend to still share in some of the fun. Watching the videos and seeing all the amazing work people were putting out – in just a weekend! – has really gotten me pumped and I think I’ll be tackling one of my unpainted projects next weekend.
What a great looking weekend. Seems like Lance and Lloyd might be losing it though.
great looking bootcamp wish i was there.
Great way to end the weekend. Sorry we couldn’t get to see games in progress but that’s a lot of work.
Thanks for showing the armies the way you did. Lots of good color schemes there and some great ideas.
I just want to mention the amazing levels of energy that you all are still showing even late in the evening of the last day!!
Much harder to pull off that it appears!! Well done all!!
Fantastic coverage! Thank you!
It’s been so much fun following along. Thanks for great entertainment and tons of inspiration.
What a fun weekend. Wish I could have been there. Time to get painting my own stuff.
Fantastic weekend Gents.
Great weekend shame it has to come to close.
Excellent weekend viewing, hopefully learnt a lot of new stuff that i can now use to improve my completed minis.
Great boot camp. Thank you for all the tips and inspiration
Great way to finish of the bootcamp. So many different ways to paint the same armies. My stand out has to be the ‘Cliffs of Dover white Golem. Time zone difference with Australia has been my biggest killer this weekend. Neeeedddd sleeeepppppp
why there was no Lloyd army? |I would love to see how much he done.
i realy enjoy this bootcamp, and learned some good tips and tricks to speed up my painting
So much progress in just 3 days! Armies of that size would probably take me 2 months to get done, but I hardly ever get a complete weekend to work on things.
Looks like a very nice weekend.
Everyone did very well. What a great weekend.
All of the Armies look fantastic!
I hope mine turn out half as good!
I am amazed that is all I can say, one weekends work…..I am totally and utterly amazed.
Welp these are gorgeous… I just painted one Ax guy and then took everything out…. I have a lot of work to do.
Been a brilliant weekend and all those armies look amazing.
I’ve loved it, thank you to all involved ❤
Like most people I’m sure I’m really hoping to get involved with the next hobby weekend
Looks like the different style of boot camp worked well
Amazing Armies, too bad you didnt get to use the cool tables as much. Might not make as many play tables for the next Hobby weekend.
Thank you for doing a great coverage. This weekend has been great to watch and a real inspiration to paint faster and better.
The armies are impressive, I’m so jealous right now…
So many great looking armies!
Thanks for the show!
Those are great – truly, Well done all round!
That certainly looks like a cool weekend spent. I’m kinda envious of you guys.
Hoping you guys have more tactics and gameplay moving on
*Applauds*
There were a lot of really nicely painted figures there. Looks like everybody did a great job.
