Hawk Wargames Look Ahead To What's New + You Could Win!
We got to talk with Hawk Wargames about what they have here at the show this weekend.
You could win! Two One Player Starter Sets Of Your Choice
With this being the last flight of the Avenger this should be a neat experience for those who come along and can explore what's happening with them and their 10mm miniatures game.

Building a space station, so cool. Hawk is really stepping up their game. What a great presents at the convevtion!
One of the firms that always seems to push the boat out that little bit more when it comes to interaction with the public so deserve the success they’ve got so far- of course having some great games really helps too
Yep building kit would be fun and very different! Lets see the Avenger!
Always great to see what hawk wargames is up to. Really amazing people can get art with their portrait in them.
Nice guy and a great booth! Scratch building is always fun.
I like the caricature drawing of peolple in line with the game.
I see several intriguing new variations on space station construction that I do not recall seeing before (makes note to self). So Dave was not giving away any infor on forthcoming releases? Damn….
what a great set up, great looking game and great set up. artwork is so cool. wish i was there!
Looks fun, wish I was there!
Always such a nice bunch of people when interviewed. Building a space station looks fun, interesting to see the radically different approaches people are taking to it (in the photo).
Wow!
ever the gentleman.
how are the drop beasts doing at the tournament ?
We had three players I believe the placings were 15th(me), 22nd( @bobcockyne) and 25th (kevin)
Space Station Building! That would be like crack to me. I would have spent the whole Expo at those tables LOL!
So cool ,!only able to make Sunday this year so looking forward to the hawk stand
Hawk managing to get the Avenger to Gencon leave me with no excuses not to go.
Good games .
Hawk must be a really cool place to work.
was there any new ships ? now i really want some more ships for my collaction
Man, I want to build a space station!! HAWK is such a great company. Need to order some more Scourge now that I think of it.
Starring two mates of mine gawking at the spaceship. I was also gawking at the spaceship and it is INCREDIBLE
Bring it to Gen Con….bring it!
That Avenger model is really amazing, even more so when you watch the making of it and see how much it actually took. Dave is a true hobby god.
Great stall, would like to play a game of drop zone at some point.
Hawk Wargames just seems to do a great job. And bring it to GenCon!
Always nice to see news from Hawk, I really like their products!
SO tempted to get into Dropfleet. I love the miniatures and the gameplay looks amazing. I have a feeling I’d end up getting lots of it too.
totally agree with all the previous comments regards the People at Hawk, Dave gave me a guided tour around the Avenger at Salute a while back and was more than happy to just chill and chat about stuff.
i would totally recommend getting involved with their booth activities they are a great bunch and happy to help with anything.
Looks like a great company and I really need to try some Dropfleet
Thats a stand and a half, shame I couldn’t make it would have loved to have tinkered with some space stations.
really like hawk
Hawk produce some awesome stuff! Can’t wait for the retail Battlecruisers to come out, they knock the spots of the kickstarter versions!
Building Dropfleet space stations is so much fun! Great idea to have that at the stand.
I loved watching the bootcamp with the guys from hawk. They seem like such a good bunch and they produce some awesome minis.
What a great idea, it would be interesting to see what sort of things people end up building.
Always nice to see Hawk. Really liking the game.
So sad I’ll never get to see the Avenger. 🙁
Seeing the evolution of Dave and Hawk Wargames through BoW coverage over the years is great, done really well for himself and the game is great!
Such crazy ship designs
Awesome setup, great games, and a great prize.
Cant wait to see the line up of Space stations for the final vote
Have 2 starter sets, but yet to play… really looking forward to getting started
Could I just take 2 UCM starters and call it good?
Damn I wish I had my space stuff right now but I’m still waiting on my kickstarter pledge to arrive. So jealous of you guys who got to go and build with that set. Everyone whose built the space station set says it awesome fun.
The space station kit is great. Are there new ships yet?
Not sure about anyone else but I’d try my best to make a Babylon 5
Always good products from Hawk
hehe make a drozone scale space station.
Haven’t got into DZ/DF as it’s not well supported in AU and at best niche gaming club content.
great looking game and great set up building space ports. artwork is so cool. wish i was there
i love Hawk Wargame there have a great attention to details. it make for a very successful miniature company. long live Dave
Love the space stations
Still have to put my box together. I simply haven’t had the inspiration
Spent time at the Hawk stand yesterday. Very cool. I really hope we see some more cool releases for ‘Zone’ and ‘Fleet’ later this year.
I would totally have spent all weekend just building space stations, great idea guys, love it!
Looks like fun!
Lovely company. I’m getting into dropfleet as soon as I get some disposable cash.
Hawk Wargames looks like they are going forward with a good vision to guide them.
Always fancied dropfleet, but never had the time/cash. Those starter sets would do it though…
Wow great booth something for everybody!
Those are some great looking models.
I would love to see the Avenger in person!
As much as I love Hawk and their games, you wouldn’t believe it was the same company looking at the comments here compared to the KS page. Come on Dave…Wave 2!!
I love my Scourge for DZC!
After my performance at the dropfleet tournament yesterday I certainly feel like the fleet could use some reinforcements lol. Was good to see Hawk out in force and also get a game in against the beasts of war dropfleet guys 🙂
Patrice knows how to draw! Those sketches have a Robert Cirillo feel to them that reminds of some of my favorite concept art.
Did anyone else notice that sphere Space Station? Some great ideas for the modular space station kit.
Nice to see some different miniatures as in space ships. Such a diverse amount of games at the GENEVA.
Those drawing are excellent
Would love to get to see that Avenger 😀
Hawk minis always look amazing. And such a nice group of people.
Shame to see the big ship go, it was a great centre piece!
very cool
Hawk do make some very pretty armies. I need to find time to play more of both games.
Looks pretty interesting never got around to playing it yet though. So many games nowadays not enough money 🙁
I backed The Dropfleet kickstarter and have found Hawk Wargames to be a very disappointing Company to deal with. 8 months after shipping to backers commenced in September 2016 backers such as myself still have not received Wave 1 of their pledges. Hawk Wargames undertook to provide backers with their pledges before shipping to retailers yet retailers have had stock for months. Despite numerous communications I’m still waiting for my pledge to ship. Hawk Wargames have now finally told me my pledge has been packed and will be shipped soon. Will have to wait and see if that actually happens. They told me at the beginning of April it would be shipped by mid-April and that didn’t happen.
Dropzone still in my top 3
these games look like a dream come true
I’m glad that I got to see the Avenger at salute A couple years back. Fantastic model. I wonder what Dave will come up with next, A scale model of a space station maybe?? 🙂
That spaceship is intense.
Own both Dropzone and Dropcommander more fool me for not playing them more as they are both great games with great support.
Would love to see that drop ship at GenCon or even Origins.
I wish I could be there!
Looking forward to seeing the space station builds (I want to rip the ideas off!)
Really nice!!
Cool set up would like to see that at some of the shows around the UK. Hoped for some more previews of whats coming soon but I guess that will be GenCon…. Everything seems to be GenCon…!
Had a chance to talk with Dave, Louis and some of the other team too and they were all, bar none, top guys. Really looking forward to getting in to their games this year.
Wife bought me dropfleet comander has a farthers day present, hard decision between the two games cause the minis look great for both game. Got a couple of weeks to wait to open it. Great stand and extemely busy around the demo games and the build area.
Hawk Wargames is a sponsor of the show I believe.
Dave’s enthusiasm is infectious!
men i regret to have miss the kickstarter for dropfleet, the game seem very fun.
Here we are on day two. I’m still taking a stab at trying to win so forgive this shameless post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve played.
Good show from Hawk. The drawing give-away is a really nice idea.
I really need to take a proper look at Dropfleet. Two starter forces is a great prize!
Sorry to see the Avenger go. Seen it at Salute a few times and its awesome!
Always good to see Hawk Wargames expanding. They offer so much shiny stuff that it is very hard to resist. 🙂
Don’t retire the huge ship
the caricatures are awesome
Really impressive set up for Hawk this year. Good to see they are expanding so much that they can do this kind of thing!
I enjoyed sitting and building a space station. Very calm amidst the chaos of the event 🙂
Space station building really is a cool thing to let people do. Nice one, Hawk Wargames!
want to see more of the big ship in the background at the beginning of the interview..
Last flight of the Avenger. *salutes proudly*
I can’t watch anything to do with Hawk games without thinking of the Dropfleet bootcamp coverage and Justin’s Pikachu yellow fleet. Seeing the huge scale ship is cool. I saw that at Salute a couple of years ago up close and was awestruck.
So much plastic!
Hawk Wargames is always a stand to stop at.
Awesome animations. Did a dropzone commander initiation a few years back at Salute it was awesome.
(really got to kick my ass and paint those armies and fleets X_X )
I am very interested in Dropfleet. All of the ships look amazing.
Don’t have any Hawk games, but i would love to win tuis price.
Got dropzone love their games
Looks awesome as per usual
Wow, Dave. The Avenger looks awesome! I watched the video series on the whole build and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sad I won’t get to see it in person unless it hits the US and I manage to get to the same GenCon.
Building space stations seem like an interesting idea.
Supercool!
I love that Hawk does so much for the players. Their focus is on people enjoying the game, even if it is just building a wild space station. A game studio to emulate.
Those plastics are really nice, saw Patrice doing his artwork there too which is great to see.
I am Impressed he can stilll speak. It looks packed.
They have some unique products.
I really am impressed by their marketing by all the extra things that they do at their booth. Very impressive operation.
I love Hawk stuff! The spaceship from last year was also amazing!
cant retire that noooo
And who doesn’t want to win a copy of Drop Fleet?
Love Dropzone Commander, would love to take Dropship for a spin as well 🙂
They romped home at the awards this year. Well done. I have never played Dropfleet, but it sure looks nice. They play it a lot at my club.
The artwork look cool.
Hahaha ! Build a space station comp! Nice one!
Dropzone Commander is a great game, and Dropfleet Commander is definitely on the Wanted list!
Beautiful!
I never made it over to Salute or UKGE, shame to miss out on ever seeing the Avenger again…
i saw some of the stuff they had at salute. the ships are really nice
I managed to get a chat with Dave on the Saturday, what a top bloke! The stand was buzzing with all sorts going on.
There is a great scene at the awards ceremony where Hawk was presented with half of the awards.
Nice Artwork!
Cheers!
This was excellent!
Hawk guys are always good to chat to saw them at Salute!
Makes me want to to play Dropfleet again.
Love the models, backed the kickstarter and glad I did.
I am in the background of this video.
I also built a space station, bt did not win.
Better luck this time.
Wow that is a superb stand, I am sure that is a great draw card to get to do some building and I’m sure the stand draws a lot of people in due to all the activity.
Hawk are really cool they are always so willing to give prizes away, well done to them.
Hawk sounds epic!
I would love to get some extra ships – now where did I put my Kickstarter box??
I do like some if their ship models and the game system sounds pretty good. Just can’t make the jump into another game right now. Too many projects and too many great games out there!
This’d be a cool game to try!
It was fun!
u its shame that I will not see that mighty ship again on salute!
Good show – so wish I could have made it!
I’d love Hawk stuff!
This was a cool show
This was lovely!
Gorgeous stuff!
This was great!
