Word Forge Games Talk Demolition Derby’s & Cheekz

Word Forge Games talk us through some of the demolitions that are happening on the tabletop for Devil's Run and Hell's Highway.

They also have the quirky card game, Cheekz, for you to check out as well which might be good for the younger crowd.

cheeks looks like fun

lightsout1985

Demolition derby with guns; what more could you want!

astralwraith

Devils run looks great – great looking minis & paint jobs

tchrin

Carmageddon the board game! Just needs the peds to hit to make it perfect 🙂 The minis for it look really good quality too. One for the list to be sure.

And Cheekz may have to be a straight buy at that price, looks like it could be a lot of fun with the right crowd.

FYI Word Forge Games can be found here – http://www.wordforgegames.com

theoneaeon

Both games look very good. Might even get the wife to play Cheekz.

somegeezer

I saw a few of these round a mate’s. A real “ooh what are them things?” moment.

darkling

Those vehicles look amazing! Here goes another game onto my wishlist 🙂 Now to sit and watch Mad Max (again).

craigwrdouglas

I’ve a few of these kicking about awaiting painting from the 1st version and am looking forward to my ks2 pledge arriving so I can get stuck in – They even have Vikings in the range!

cyfi

Brother got a copy of reapers revenge yesterday at the show, looking at it made me wish I had to

dane001

Love how they look, got a very mad max sort of feel i think.

laughingboy

Backed the new game they have coming out on KS so was great to get a demo in on the current version. Good fun and very much fury road.

turbocooler

Hopefully we see a future play through on BoW

sbushert

My 4 year old is telling me we need to buy Demolition Derby. I’d like to see more about Reapers Revenge.

lordbob

I second the idea of a play through, for both games, but especially for Cheekz. I can already imagine Warren laughing through the whole game.

tmon

My game club would love Demolition Derby.

ahren78

Look like a very funny little game.

phoen31

Someone bring back that devils run to the US.. love to play that

shadykx125

I like demolition derby stuff 🙂

badgobo

demolition derby fun!

spaderfish

Here we are on the third and final day. It’s been a long weekend but for anyone who attended apparently a fun one. However, since it is the final day then it’s my last chance to shamelessly post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve ever played.

caledor2

Demolition derby with guns, this is my type of car game.

marktarver

I was interested in seeing this, after I saw it I wasn’t really taken with the game or minis, just missing something for me.
I’m sure others will love it though, as mad max cars are always cool.

zombieking

oh man, this is utterly me making a ‘comment to win’!

Ever since playing SteveJackson’s Car Wars in the 80s with paper tokens Ive wanted a proper mini version of the game with full on madmax aesthetics, and this is absolutely the one I need! I adore everything wordforge have been putting out for Devil’s Run but have never had the funds to get involved. Fingers crossed for the win! 😉

bloodbeard

Devils Run is great fun! It’s been one of my main games for a year now. Simple rules, with a lot of potential for sandbox style crazyness.

trine

I did not want to play this for so long, but when I finally did I actually really liked it 😀 And it is a great bunch of guys who made it!

skrivanek

Great coverage, all. Thanks!

wargamerpaul

Devil’s Run is an awesome game!

machinegod

Mad Max fury!

we4re6eek

That truck with a connon is a thing of beauty

crazycabo

No it’s the truck out of Death Race

barretem30

Oh cool Cheekz, I think thats Andy 2d6’s game.

thebloke

I think both those games just made it onto my wish list…

timmoth

Justin and Warren, “Let’s Play: Cheeks” – with Ben watching overhead…

deadhead

another couple of awesome prizes

rgreenparadox

I want a let’s play of Cheeks between the Beasts! Devil’s Run looks like a miniatures version of Car Wars, which is a game I still play. Prince is the ultimate mini.

darkspi

nice funny card and the car game looks great

zoidpinhead

This is definitely getting my award for best company at the Expo. A silly game like Cheekz is perfect on a long gaming evening or weekend with my family who are all grown-ups but want to have a good laugh alongside the more serious and mind-stretching games. This one is going on my list for Christmas. Devil’s Run has great miniatures. Please can we have a Let’s Play? I’ve watched the bit of this video with the War Rig in it about five times now. Amazing value at £40 too. Well done chaps.

otakugirl

Supercool!

lawnor

Those cars look awesome, ut I’m always worriedthat card games like that will lose all their appeal once you’ve read all the cards once.

voyager

Those car miniatures are awesome!!

while

I’m wondering what scale those vehicles are!
