Spectrum Games is proud to announce that Urban Manhunt: the Miniatures Game is now available as a 132-page hardcover book.
Urban Manhunt is a tabletop miniatures game that depicts a harsh, violent sport of the dark near-future (as seen through the lens of 1987). Each player takes on the role of a hunter, a highly trained and larger-than-life mercenary who scours sectioned off parts of prison cities, eliminating convicts (called crims) for points. The hunter with the most points accumulated when the time limit expires wins the match.
You need only one miniature in order to play… and it can be practically any miniature you own, thanks to the extremely comprehensive hunter creation system. So grab your model and step into the zone!

I don’t like the graphics of the cover, which sucks because when there are soo many rule systems the artwork tends to be the one thing that helps convince people like me.
There is no interior view on DriveThruRpg.com yet, so I don’t know if the interior art is similar.
I like the fact that this is could potentially be played solo (everyone vs ‘AI’).
All you’d probably need to do is set a time limit and/or target score. Kind of what old videogames used do when grading your performance at the end of a level.
Are the targets represented with models as well ?
The miniatures from ‘walking dead: all out war’ would make for a cheap-ish set of figures to use this system on.
@cynthiacelestemiller : are you the author/creator of these rules ?
Please take a moment to add this game system to the Games section of this site.
I apologize for the lateness of my reply. I’m apparently not receiving notifications for responses.
The artwork inside is different in tone than the cover. In my art direction on the cover, I wanted to capture the game show vibe of Urban Manhunt. The inside stuff tends to be grittier. I have updated the DTRPG page so that you can see 20+ pages of the book. I’m quite proud of the artwork and graphic design, which are both on full display on the preview. I hope you give it another look.
The game can indeed be played solo. In fact, we released the official solo rules as a free PDF. The player goes head-to-head with an AI hunter, making it a very dynamic experience.
The crims (i.e., targets) can be represented by miniatures. However, we offer free 2D miniatures that can be used if one prefers. Your idea for using the Walking Dead: All Out War figs is a great one!
To answer your final question, I am the author and creator of Urban Manhunt. I’ll take your advice and add it to the Games section. Thank you very much.
