Justin gets the distinct pleasure of visiting the wonderful Cad from 4Ground to look at all the lovely terrain they have brought to Salute.
Starting off swinging a sword, Justin manages to controlling his inner child enough to check out what’s on offer with 4Ground. From ruined churches and stained glass windows to some perfect terrain for the walking dead 4Ground have so many angles covered!

I was taking a closer look at the photo of the Urbes Mortis set and I noticed what looks like an elevator. It’s always bugged me that the GW terrain sets have all kinds of ladders but no elevators. You would think an elevator template would have shown up by 41k at least.
Would absolutely love the Urbes Mortis Terrain pack.
I finally after many moons have space for a gamin table and paint station and my first stop for train will be 4grounds!

The Arms is an awesome kit to build, enjoyed building mine.
Does there range ever end? Love how they get curves into the builds and some angles that make them look so much more natural.

I quite like the fabric covered shack in the Wild West range (anyone that’s watched Deadwood will recognise them), never seen any other terrain maker do these 🙂

Magnificent tables and terrain. That ship is a thing of beauty. I own quite a lot of Daldorr ruins and seeing the dense usage of the ruins and buildings gives me ideas!

The detail he’s put into his own range is amazing, the ability to mass produce and colour prime them for speed is genius I can’t wait.
Another nice chap doing some good stuff in his own time after work. He’s also a long time member of the Pendraken ‘love in’ forum and is open to new ideas
I had a long talk with him, although he was too shy to appear on camera, we did get some of Michael’s work photographed and it’s exquisite. Myself and Ben from 4Ground were talking about it most of the weekend. Terrific work.
The quality of the 4Ground scenery just gets better and better. The stained glass effect is brilliant.
Urbes Mortis Terrain Box would be nice with my D&D games & the Sword can be added to my gaming room as a trophy.

Well that’s the show highlight reel right there. What a massive prize too. I’m desperately trying to convince myself that I need those Japanese buildings even though I don’t have any suitable games to play with them. That may not matter.

I’m interested in learning more about Designs from the Basement, in the past I used CAD software at work. I’m rusty and will need to brush up on my skills. As I’m keen to get some Chinese early 20th century buildings and rather than wait for someone to produce some I may as well try to design my own. I just spent a day a permanent built movie set in China taking pics for a future terrain project. I plan to put the images into a project folder so that others can use them as reference images.
he is on the site @thingsfromthebasement definitely reach out and have a chat with him, the worst he can say is he can’t do it but others may be able to.

4ground is so good, wish my wallet loved them as much as I do. Great prize.
Man I need to start saving up for that urban close quarter set. I’ve been looking for a way to dive into Zone Mortalis cost effectively and now with Kill Team, there are so many great applications for it. The Urbes Mortis set looks great too. I really like the display here of just creating one large building, add in a few more walls in the interior and it would be a blast to play in.

Those were some cool tables.
Wonderful that with so many designers all the ranges appear to be coherent. Nothing seems to be in the wrong place. I fear there is a lot of effort to be put into achieving this.
I´m interested and tempted by all their products, it inspires me to try out something entirely new once in while. The Walking Dead stuff as well as Homeland Apocalypse is great. The 4ground ability to put together and lay out gorgeous boards for gaming adds to the appealing character of the models.
Next buy will be either Convenience Store or the Diner. And if I win the pools I will think about getting the Shopping Mall.
4ground terrain is always exquisite. I honestly think they have no interest in messing with anybody,but if you need the paperwork..you need the paperwork.
The 10mm stuff is the most interesting for me currently… exciting to see where that goes.
love the The Legends Of Fabled Realms table and the ship very intrested to in the WW2 train and next time I order again at 4ground I am certainly not to forget to order a sword very cool to hang in my hobby room and maybe a shield ????
I have always been a bit hesitant to try 4 ground, as I can’t even build things from Ikea.
Doesn’t stop me dreaming of having a table made up of their buildings.

For me the 4Ground stand was the highlight of the show. The homeland apocalypse setup was fab and I walked away with a shotgun shack for my games of Fallout. So much good stuff!

I love that tyranid table. How in the world did they make stained glass windows!? Also love the use of magnets. 4Ground has shown those off before but glad to see these being shown off at a con.
Any hex based tiles coming out? I would love to make my set of Gloomhaven into 2.5d with some 4ground stuff. Maybe it wouldnt have a high demand but I would still love a hex based modular dungeon from you guys.
Think I am sold on World War Zero. can’t wait for that to be released now.

I have so much respect for 4Ground and love their attitude to the business. Obviously they’re a company and need to make money, but they’re doing it with integrity in a way that helps them and other creators. Which is a win for everyone.
4Ground never disappoints. Their new range are spectacular. I do enjoy their collaboration with other independent designers. A win win for everyone. I can’t wait to see their upcoming WW2 train.
I love everything that 4Ground do and was really sad that I didn’t jump in on the Fabled Realms Kickstarter, but it is nice to see everything that they are releasing now.

Was gutted to have to leave before I got chance to play a demo of their new game. Fingers crossed I will get one when we visit them in Warminster Taking the dentist with me to scare Big Ben.
Guns and drums demo table was great. So much fun to play. Stayed there for ages and got a few rounds of activating and shooting before i dragged myself away.
