This should be a three day event! More Salute, hopefully it expands into two days.

torros

The trouble with that is most shows in the UK have a pretty high fall off of customers on a Sunday and Excel is just too expensive to rent for 2 days.

brennon

In my opinion it’s because Salute is a big shop heh. If there was another area dedicated to RP or more participation games I could see it expanding. But, it’s more like a big buying fest than anything

tahatan

Great work team

huscarle

I haven’t long been back from Salute. Now for something to eat and sit back with a drink and watch the blog to see what I may have missed. I’ve had a quick skip through to see the coverage. You guys have been well busy.

avernos

Great meeting you. Have a good one

huscarle

Thanks you too safe journey home

shredhead

You Brits and your weird one-day conventions. Nice bomb at 0:08, give that man a beer 😛 Good job, nice coverage! Now go cool off your feet and have a beer, you deserve that much at least!

dafthelmet85

Great coverage all, love the new look live blog.

phaidknott

What no video/photo of Gerry just drooling at the Footsore stand at their new Dark Ages minis?

For shame, you let him loose with no adult supervision 😀

avernos

Unfortunately there was adult supervision which is why I wasn’t there drooling

blinky465

My favourite bit was meeting the Beasties , and Gerry ( was away mingling).
And being both a little disappointed yet equally relieved that Ben doesn’t actually have such a massive face 😉

necron099

Great Job! Makes me feel like I was there.

trinitty

I’m a bit sad you could not chat with James and his wave 2 for the Drowned Earth, but guys thanks for catching up the rest. The tables were inspiring and with Terrain Essentials easy to rebuild

coxjul

Best bit of Salute? Meeting the team of course! (what have I won? 😉 )

goban

I know you are going to donate your winnings to me.

nickw1970

My favourite bit was meeting Mel. Top bloke! Terrain Essentials still going strong on KS …

laughingboy

Well done gents great show and as always good to say hello

zoidpinhead

Great coverage again this year. Thanks.

nyilus27

Thank you for all of the coverage guys and I hope you get home safe.

goban

Warlords of London put on a great show, please ask them to work twice as hard and give us 2 days, hope to see you at games expo. Please offer my congratulations to all the exhibiters’ and organizers. To the Beast of War lads a very hearty thanks to allowing me to participate in the show.

jmrecoil

Great job guys! Who is coming to Gen Con this year? Looking forward to the meet up with you guys.

cartographer09

I would love to see more gamer aids and other unique items being made. The terrain is amazing and all the historical look cool but so much of that we see on BoW and other sites already. It’s the lesser known companies or ideas that show up at Salute that are great discoveries.

jemmy

My favourite bits are your OTT coverage and the nispiration and Motivation I can obtain by simply watching and reading all of the entries. Btw, why is Gerry not yet part of the Meet The Team entry on the OTT website?
Mats and 4ground, yes the most inspiring.

cbrenner

Great job guys. Really impressed with Warcradle expansions and the one off games from the clubs.

falerox

darkdanegan

nighthaunter666

i really did watch this one first.
But I was at salute, saw the team and Ryan definitely looked hard at work.

zorg

great show folks.

redsarge

LOL Gerry, great job everyone!

marktarver

I was doing Moonstone Demos all day, so great to watch the blog and see what I missed 🙂
Managed to grab myself the batman starter box though, so looking forwards to getting that out onto the table.
See you at UKGE.

somegeezer

Great coverage as always. Warlord pushing Bolt Action beyond 1945 was my definite highlight!

See youse at Games Expo!

seldon9

Great coverage gents. Many thanks.

voyager

Thanks for the coverage guys! Fantastic as always!
If it were 3 days show it would justify a plane ticket to get there. 🙂

Firstly an apology to Jerry, I was the bloke who wandered over too say hello and chose to kick off with “I thought you’d be taller…”

Anyhoo. Secondly, encouraged by the enthusiasm expressed by Lloyd Jerry and Justin for Saga I finally jumped in and bought Age of Magic on preorder at the show. I hadn’t really been attracted to Saga historical and looking at it now I realise that I have done myself a disservice. The board kinda reminds me a little of Song of Ice and Fire, and maybe also War of the Ring (with its dice combo mechanics). I was very impressed by the production quality of the book(s) and in hindsight I think i allowed myself to get too swayed by the Dark Age models (not a fan) rather than giving the mechanics a chance. I may revisit that decision on the strength of Age of Magic.

Secondly encouraged by Dawn’s Dust recommendations I also bought into that game too. Here it was not the look of the models that originally put me off but their cost and the fact that I cant face adding to the unpainted mountain of shame. I bit down hard on the wallet and bought a Premium Starter set from Imperial Japan. OOOh it’s lovely.

So thanks guys for the introductions – without your enthusiasm I would not have gone to salute or chosen to buy into these games. Cheers!
(PS my wife says I am not allowed out on my own any more)

sheepman

Always great to visit and then to catch up with the BoW/OTT coverage – thanks

dugthefug1644
