“Blood & Porter” will bring the game to Victorian England and “Blood and Stout” is set in Ireland! I think I am onto something here 🙂

WW1 looks very interesting. Would like to see a few rounds of it played.
I will try to talk to the guys at Firelock about it again. The “exhibit” they had set up at the moment was very small.
WWI looks cool.
For me WWI in 28mm is most interesting in 1914 and 1918. Few trenches, more mobility and one side isn’t just sitting there the whole game (I despise scenarios that just have one player sitting still and shooting).
How does anyone go to historicon and ever find the time to stand still and watch anything? How is everyone just not constantly running around yelling “OMG that’s so freaking cool over there”?
Agree 100% @elessar2590 – in our “Top Five Tips for World War I Gaming” back for the 2018 Centennials, tip number one was: Avoid the Middle … i.e., play 1914 and 1918, avoid 1915, 16, 17 … at least at first.
In my opinion it depends on the scale of the game and which theatre your running the game in

My favorite part is the historical fidelity. No Flying Dutchman in that game. 😀

I literally just stood on the street corner at 10:30 PM talking with the the guys from Firelock and Phalanx Consortium. They say they’re running a Blood & Valor demo tomorrow. I DEFINITELY want to get back down there for a demo of Ultracombat Normandy. Now it’s just a question of getting the camera crew down there.

There is always a space for another WW1 game. I have been totally into ww1 since Airfix polyethylene 1/72 minies at the age of 7 or 8.

WW I, yes. The board seems very small to me.
Skirmish games for WW I games can be rather difficult to be made interesting, but some scenarios offer themselves for a good game. For instance, that would be my personal first choice, the capture of Fort Vaux.

These guys are just down the road from us @oriskany we really gotta go pester them one day! You know how I like my big ship combat, even if they aren’t in the atmosphere of a gas giant.

Especially since this isn’t just a WW2 game “re-skinned” into a WW1 setting.
