I really like the pose of this model, katana raised high to strike. The samurai has fairly tall kabuto that mimics the style of hats worn at court, although there are more extreme examples within range produced by Steel Fist. Colours for this one were inspired by the woodblock print used as the image for this project’s header.

Nice job, I think the basing really goes well with the models colors. The scabbard detail looks great as well.

Thanks very much. It was conscious decision to go for a very stylistic basing choice, but I’m still not 100% certain on it if I’m honest!

I think it will help tie all the models together well. My only thought would be to have some bases that perhaps include some brown sand/flock, a bit of grass and such to break up the “leaves” a bit. That said I really like the look.
