So I had a punt at a scheme. I like how dark and moody it is. I also need to do a little more work on it though. Everything is as it will be bar the addition of some lighter green for the grenades and backpack…

I think the colour scheme is very apt and makes them look intimidating – as should be. I personally would add some grey edge highlights along the armour edges with a fine brush. For example on the chest/shoulder plate armour and the top part of the knee pads etc.

I know it is extra work, but frankly you have put so much effort into making them look cool, that I would invest the time and do it.

Also your idea has inspired me and I am very tempted to do something very similar with the Palantine enforcers – I honestly should stop watching the XLBS!

Just remember to use the flat part of the brush and make sure the consistency of the paint flows but not watery (depending on the paint). If you have to dilute the paint, use Lahmium or Matt medium. Otherwise you should be fine. Trust me, it is easier than it seems, and if you mess up a bit just tidy it up with the darker base colour.

Please tell me that you ARE going to paint the Inquisition symbol on the red chest panel on all the storm troopers??

Or atleast find & use some Inquisitor waterslide transfers….
