Victrix Miniatures has recently released a new set of 12mm miniatures for your World War II wargames. You could use the new US Airborne set for their own game, Company Commander, or whatever game you have in your collection.

12mm WWII US Airborne - Victrix Miniatures

12mm WWII US Airborne // Victrix Miniatures

This set represents the 82nd Airborne division which was envisioned in World War I to be an elite force that could fight on the front but it wouldn't be until World War II that they actually made a name for themselves.

"In June 1944 the 82nd spearheaded the D-Day landings dropping into Normandy around the towns of Carentan and St Mere Eglise where intense fighting continued for 33 days with severe casualties. After D-Day the division was constantly in the frontline including a significant involvement in Operation Market Garden and at the forefront of an immense defensive role during the Battle of the Bulge. The 82nd continued the advance into Germany eventually ending the war as an occupying force in Berlin."

You don't have to run these miniatures as the 82nd as they could also represent the 101st Airborne as well if you prefer. Drop these folks into your games set in North Africa, Italy, Normandy, Operation Market Garden and of course the push into Germany itself.

This set comes with 184 miniatures for representing the US Airborne across those various theatres of war. You get sixty-eight Riflemen and then twenty soldiers with Thompson machine guns. There are also eight BAR, eight rifle grenades, twelve 30-cal machine gun teams, eight radio operators, eight bazookas, sixteen officers, eight ammo carriers and four mortar teams. That is a LOT of miniatures and all you should need if you're looking to play as the US Airborne on the tabletop.

All you need to do is pick up some vehicles and you should be sorted for some World War II battles. The miniatures are looking great and when World War II battles are all the rage right now, maybe it's time to consider playing at 12mm scale so you can dive into BIGGER scraps.

Do you like the look of this new 12mm collection?
