Oil be all right
As shown in one of the other posts I have a Skeleton Riding a Worm from Runewars.
I wanted to paint it following the same technique I have done for the rest of the Runewars skeletons. However for them I used the Army Painter Dark Tone dip, unfortunately I have run out of this dip. So I decided to see if I could get some more …wow the price of that is now nearly £25…😬😬😬
So I decided now would be the time to try the oil paint wash technique every one seems to like and so I ordered some Windsor and Newton black oil paint and thinners.
Unfortunately this is where I made a mistake and found that the thinner I ordered was for water based paint..and oil and water don’t mix 🤦🏻♂️
After figuring out that I just needed to buy some white spirit and then trying again I found that it mixed really well. So ready for the test.
So I then slapped on the oil wash and then left it for a few hours. 
Then I used a make up sponge dipped in white spirit to wipe off the excess, and even if I do say so myself it's come out ok . Next job it to highlight.
