More undead now, this time its mummies.
I searched through my old Citadel undead and found some metal mummies. However, they look a bit….. rubbish. There’s just something not quite right with the arm lengths and such. So, I checked through my Reaper Bones and found a few that may be suitable, plus an old Heroquest mummy as well. However, for numbers I still needed to use one of the metal ones, so chose the one with the headwear.

Mummies

The Heroquest mummy and most of the reaper ones needed their bases trimmed to fit on the 30mm lipped round bases. After doing that I filled the gaps with milliput, added some fine sand and primed them up. Then I painted the bases with my foundry ‘base sand’ triad.

Primed Primed

I decided to start work on the three more basic mummies first, to get an idea of how I wanted to paint them. I didn’t get many pics here (sigh of relief from readers 😊 ).

Starting with the heroquest one I painted the skin in a mid earthy brown, then washed the whole mini with agrax, followed by a drybrush of ivory. Then I went back in and rehighlighted the skin.

Then it was on to the old metal citadel mummy. I used a darker earthy tone for the skin here, which I prefer. I also added colour using turquoise. For the tarnished metal I started with a gold base then applied a thinned wash of speedpaint Pastel Seafoam followed by a drybrush of Vallejo bronze.

For the most basic reaper one I used the same techniques, but went with a lighter highlight on the bandages to make it pop a little more.

Finally it was finishing touches, details and an attempt to add some glowing eyes.
