Sgt Brammer users herself as bait to investigate movement on her tracker but it turns out to be just rodents. Not believing her luck she finds the passkey 
Not so lucky in the middle of the field where xenos are detected of the acid spitting variety. Luckily they appear in the field of fire and quickly disposed of
As the team moves up all movement from potential enemies move away leaving the area strangely quiet while blips continue to ping on the trackers.b
Brammers team head towards the mess hall and discover another survivor looking for extraction. The colonial militia do the same on the opposite side of the colony only to be ambushed by spotters. One man is melted in front of his terrified friends. They pull back and are given covering fire from the sniper.
Lt Armstrong calls for puck up as Sgt Brammers team head with the pass key to the extraction point. At this point more spotters arrive. Despite being bad shots the xenos close in to melee range and the sniper is overwhelmed. Luckily the dropship gives covering fire when it arrives giving the survivors time to escape. The mission is a success and with the passkey secured the op centre can be breached.
