Dive Into Carnevale’s Brand New Plastic Starter Set!
November 4, 2025 by brennon
Pre-orders are now available for TTCombat's new starter set for Carnevale, the World's Faire Afterparty. This new set comes with brand new 32mm scale plastic miniatures for the Patricians and the Doctors, as well as everything else you need to play the game.
World's Faire Afterparty - Contents // Carnevale
For those unaware of Carnevale, the game is designed as a dynamic skirmish game where you can make full use of the 3D terrain on your tabletop. You can climb, jump (parkour!), run, row and swim your way through the streets and canals of Venice, all whilst trying to further the ambitions of your chosen faction.
Carnevale Fast Play Cards // TTCombat
As well as duelling with your opponents on the rooftops in cinematic action, you can also defeat your enemies in games of Carnevale by shoving them from rooftops, drowning them in canals and all manner of other interesting ways. It's a fascinating game that really does stand out alongside other skirmish wargames.
This set also comes with some excellent new plastic miniatures.
The Patricians // Carnevale
The Doctors // Carnevale
These miniatures for the Patricians and the Doctors give you a handful of characters to start playing your first games with. Some of them will be familiar updates to existing Carnevale veterans, which is a nice bonus! I really like all of the character that the sculptors have worked into the miniatures, showcasing the diverse nature of the factions in Carnevale that cross that divide between the historical and the fantastical.
All of it is provided as part of the ace new plastics for the range. Hopefully, this is a start of more plastic figures for Carnevale going forward.

As well as the miniatures, you'll also get everything else you need to play. There is a forty-eight-page Rulebook which explains the rules and the scenarios for your games.

This Rulebook contains all of the up-to-date rules for Carnevale and even if you're not picking it up via the new Starter Set, you can also pick this up separately. A great option if you've already got loads of miniatures and terrain in your collection.
It also features brand new artwork from the team behind Carnevale, plus loads of scenarios that will help you get playing faster. This is also the focus of the Starter Set (funnily enough) with push-together cardboard scenery (in full colour), a fold-out play mat, dice, plus all of the quick reference cards that you'll need (see above).
This should be an awesome starting point for someone wanting to venture into a new skirmish game!

I always read Carnevale as Carnivore and always I’m disappointed because of the lack of blood, gore and stuff XD
Haha, there are a couple factions that are much more violent… even the Doctor’s department of undead studies is “taught” by vampires who are disarmed for the safety of their students.
The resin models are nice, but I would replace them with plastic in a heartbeat just for not worrying as much if I drop one from a rooftop! 😛
I’ll be picking up the starter set for sure. This will probably be my motivation for finishing off my MDF terrain pieces that I picked up when ttcombat first got Carnevale.
This is a great move from TTCombat and a really solid looking starter set. You could add either factions starter gang to this and have a nice solid core group.
It is also worth saying, Carnevale has just come to Myminifactory tribes for 3D printing, the welcome pack contains everything from the older big 2 player starter. The initial store offering also included a bunch of alternative sculpts. And they are offering terrain STL’s as well…
