New Hollow Crown Trench Crusade Teasers For Plucky Brits

Hollow Crown Miniatures teased more of the stunning 32mm scale Trench Crusade figures they have lined up to release on Kickstarter soon. The Cruciform Order grows with more soldiers ready to battle the forces of Hell.

Castellan // Hollow Crown Miniatures

Ari Nielsson has sculpted some more brilliant characters like the Castellan above, his sense of superiority protecting him against the advance of the enemy through the trenches. They are backed up by an "unshakeable certainty of their right to lead". Officers who are often scoundrels, diving into the fighting where it's the thickest in the knowledge that good old-fashioned faith will protect them from the blade of a demon. Oh, and privilege.

Following on behind the Castellans, bellowing their prayers to the heavens in the hopes of pushing fellow soldiers forward in a relentless tide of pious glory, are the Combat Clerics.

Combat Cleric // Hollow Crown Miniatures

The Combat Clerics watch over their fellow soldiers on the battlefield. Their words can spur them on to glorious acts of valour but they must also look after their souls should the worst happen. You don't want your companions coming back, dragging themselves out of the mud and blood. I love that their weapon of choice is a big cross, packed with holy ammunition.

Sapper // Hollow Crown Miniatures

Set the charges and blow up trenches and rusted fortifications on the battlefield. They might not be as well-regarded as the Field-Knights of the Order but they are masters of life and death. You can solve a lot of problems by blasting the enemy position to smithereens with explosives.

I quite like the idea of a cool tabletop featuring a massive crater at the centre of it. You could have the bottom filled with water, skeletons floating in the muck, soldiers struggling up the sides in a desperate attempt to make it to the enemy lines.

Last but not least, we have another of the Heavy Field-Knights.

Heavy Field-Knight // Hollow Crown Miniatures

Carrying a flame lance, this acts as the tip of the spear of faith. White-hot fire, blessed by god almighty, washes across the battlefield, drenching trenches in cleansing fire. I can imagine the imagery of the Heavy Field-Knight stomping relentlessly across No-Man's Land, bullets pinging off their armour as they level the flame lance and unleash a gout of fire into the heart of the enemy formation.

These miniatures and many more will be coming to Kickstarter soon, with both physical casts and STL files available for you to pick up. Both Varus Miniatures and InfamousJT have created quite an awesome set of figures for expanding Trench Crusade collections.
