Soaps Random Projects
Stay a while and listen
This project was supposed to be just a dumping ground for finished pictures. So first of all sorry for breaking my own rules. Also it’s been a while so i think you can forgive it.
I have been doing things on and off. though not playing games, as that seems to have died. RIP War Gaming 1992 – 2025 (for me). I don’t know if the final game has been played but it will continue in board games. Life has moved on for my friend group and the first casualty has been gaming.
A random project that came cross my desk was a binned army rescue. This was saved from the bin (not my bin). Which was a lot of resin death korps of krieg, along with some elysian drop troops and some steel legion and a few other bits and bobs. I then found my self in GW FOMO land and got the launch box as well as a couple of tanks. This project is for me to paint but then sell as I have no need or want of a 40k army.
I have painted around 40+ 40k armies and it kills me, all mostly large, it kills me because of how I choose to paint. I paint these like my infinity models but there are so many of the little guys to do.
I have recently tried to break this up, I got a forest dragon when GW done a limited release which is about 30% done, Lion El Jonson which is about 20% done and an Eldar and ork model. While working on the Alien board game models which are surprisingly fun however infuriating to paint (scale issue). So starting and not finishing anything which is historically not like me. Which leads to the completionist in me never posting things 😊.
Finished tanks middle being fully magnetised I also designed and printed some holders for spare Leman Russ turrets to use them as emplacements I still have the 2 full other tanks to paint. So that’s where this supposed to be side project is at plus a few painted full squads and some others in progress.
I have also done my kitchen and bathroom this year as well as got a cat, lol. So everything is moving forward, hope to have more next year.
See you then!

Sweet deal. Salvaging the binned stuff to rake in some cash is a great idea. Getting some sort of hobby related enjoyment is good for the soul even if you can’t spend the time around a table you want.
I am told there is even more which would be the 3rd delivery. 2nd one was a mass of books. We will see.
