Doom 'Seeker' Divers
Scenic Warhammer The Old World photograph of Dwarf Slayer Doom Seeker Divers positioned on a snowy mountainside. Three converted Grudge Thrower war machines crewed by Doomseekers and Slayer Engineers stand among snow-covered trees, with a vast mountain pass in the distance. Harsh winter weather, swirling snow, and strong winds create a bleak Karak Kadrin alpine battlefield atmosphere inspired by Warhammer Fantasy and the Gotrek and Felix novels. These are my Warhammer: The Old World Dwarf Slayer Doom Seeker Divers, counting as Grudge Throwers in my Slayer Army of Karak Kadrin. Entirely 3D designed and 3D printed, they are exactly what they sound like — catapults that launch Doomseekers at the enemy.
Each war machine is crewed by three Slayers:
• A Slayer Engineer
• A Slayer Spotter
• And Ammo No.2… another Doomseeker, converted from the classic Blood Bowl Slayer sculpt
Ammo No.1, of course, is a fully unhinged Doomseeker strapped into the basket and ready for a very short, very glorious flight.
The inspiration comes straight from Black Library’s Orcslayer in the Gotrek & Felix series, where Gotrek launches himself from a Bretonnian merchant vessel onto an Orc ship blockading Barak Varr. Ridiculous? Yes. Very Gotrek? Absolutely.
A little unorthodox for Dwarfs, but firmly Old World fun, and that’s what this army is all about.
