Boardgame Bonanza
Stuffed Fables part. 4 - Oh, Brother!
The fourth and last entry of the Stuffed Fables part of the project!
I managed to complete the content of the expansion Oh, Brother! as well as print out an insert that fits the content of both boxes into a single box. Gotta love efficiency!
Bonus points to the person who can spot the inspiration for the Hugglers.
Now, onwards to the next game in the pile of shame!

This game looks fascinating, can you tell us a little bit about how it plays?
Sure 🙂
It’s a casual, cooperative, story-driven board game where you play as a group of stuffed animals protecting a little girl from the bad dreams that come alive at night. Think of it like a playable bedtime story with light RPG elements.
Gameplay-wise, it’s scenario-based and runs through a storybook that acts as the game board. Each page is a new “chapter” with its own map, rules twists, and objectives. On your turn you roll dice, which are then used to do specific actions depending on the color of the die. Like move around the board, make melee or ranged attacks and use abilities unique to your plush character.
The game leans more on storytelling and teamwork than heavy strategy, and it’s designed so adults and kids can play together. That being said, there are official, alternative rules, to make the game more challenging if one would like.
Overall, it’s charming, a little spooky in a kid-friendly way, and great if you like narrative games where the story and theme are front and center rather than crunchy mechanics.
One negative thing would be that the rules aren’t very clear on some points which required checking forums to find out how to do specific things, but other than that it was enjoyable.
