New Dystopian Age Gamebook & More From Warcradle This March!
January 28, 2026 by brennon
Warcradle Studios has previewed what's going to be coming out in March for the Dystopian Age. You'll see more sets coming out for Armoured Clash, Dystopian Wars and a new Gamebook where YOU become the hero.
Valiant Gamebook // Warcradle Studios
We start with that new Gamebook, Valiant.
"It is the Dystopian Age. You are Valiant, an agent of the Crown Ministry of Intelligence, an unsung hero, working in secret to keep an unstable world from igniting into all-out war.
Victoria may reign as Queen, but it is the super-science of the Enlightened that dominates the world thanks to their discovery of otherworldly technologies. The great global superpowers strain against the uneasy detente that exists between them. All it takes is the right agent in the wrong place, so after a secret mission goes disastrously wrong, all that stands between a shadowy conspiracy and global ruin is YOU! Her Majesty is counting on YOU to end this threat."
The new Valiant Gamebook has been penned by Jonathan Green, who has written for Doctor Who, Fighting Fantasy, Sonic the Hedgehog and the worlds of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000. He has quite the pedigree in gamebooks, so if you're looking for a new adventure in a classic style, this could be for you.
Armoured Clash
If you're looking to expand your Commonwealth forces in 10mm wargame, Armoured Clash, you can soon get your hands on the Commonwealth Heavy Regiment.
Commonwealth Heavy Regiment // Armoured Clash
This set gives you a bunch of varied, heavy reinforcements for bolstering your Commonwealth force on the tabletop. A great set of running transports alongside infantry and mechanised weaponry for blasting away your enemies.

Would LOVE to see someone merge both a FF book and a campaign book.
Basically you make choices (as per your usual FF book), but instead of the usual dice mechanic for the combat instead……
Your choices may dictate the map, weather, time (night/day), objectives, any force modifiers to your army list etc (the list could be quite extensive. The FF book could be themed for a year and theatre (and hence dictate the forces used. The army list itself could be pre-generated (to cut down on the “cheese”, and any exploits used by the player when constructing their army list).
Now the only downside would be that it would only be usable by the one player. However you could do a companion book (eg one Russian, and one German) where the players alternate “choices” (and they both books trigger a page turn to the same page). But sometimes the contents within each section differ by nationality (for example the force modifiers are different in each book where each reflects the actual year/campaign the book(s) are following.
Probably another bad idea from “yours truly”, but as I get older my mind has lots of senior moments where daft ideas just seem to spring out of nowhere 😀
